Basis Sensitive Skin Bar Reviews

My doctor recommended Basis soap to me about 20 years ago. I used it for awhile way back then but couldn't remember how well it worked. I tried it again recently and could not believe the residue it left on my hands after taking an extra long shower. It obviously does not rinse off well. I can't believe any cleanser can be very good for you if it does not rinse off. I even started feeling itchy across my back. Threw it away. I now use Cetaphil.

this stuff is loaded with comedogenic ingredients...and from my experience of using 3 bars of it your pores will clog.i didn't realize it until my acne was gone ,the ni notcied just about everypore on my face was clogged from this and being dry.would't recommend it to anybody b/c of the ingredients and the out come i had while using it.

love it. used it w/o any acne medication but oil of olay sensitive skin lotion. no break outs. and the old breaks out are going away. YAY!! love this! takes off my waterproof make up and all!!

I have very oily acne prone skin--but some cleansers make my skin very dry. Basis is my favorite cleanser. Doesn't leave my skin too dry and doesn't break me out. I highly recommend it.

I started using this about a week ago. My skin is very sensitive but I also have acne. It's great for the face as well as everywhere else on the body.

I love the soap....even use it on the rest of my body. It is very affordable. I have been a cosmetic junkie in the past, and for those who think that 2 bucks is a lot for soap, go to the cosmetic counters at the mall and compare!

i have been using this soap for many months now and my face has cleared up a bit bc it is not irritated. this soap is very soothing to the skin..it is creamy yet very cleansing and not to mention affordable! i highly recommend!

I just started using the Basis bar after years on Cetaphil. With the Basis bar, I actually feel like I'm cleansing my face and it easily works into a nice lather. However, my face dries out a lot more from this bar. It is much more affordable than Cetaphil, so I'm going to see if I can adapt to the bar since it has not caused any harm to my skin aside from dryness. And on a sidenote, when will people rating products that did not work for them begin to express themselves more eloquently and reasonably? Obviously any given product is working successfully for a number of people, so please calmly explain the circumstances in which it did not work for you. This will help people in the same boat as you without scaring away those who might benefit from the product. Thanks.

I haven't tried the Basis Sensitive Skin Bar, but I do use the Basis All Clear Bar (there is no feedback forum for that one yet). I used to use the Cetaphyl Antibacterial Bar but I grew a bit tired of it (expensive, break outs, bar becomes "mooshy"). I have been using Basis All Clear for a few months and like it much better. It cheaper, the bar is more solid (doesn't get mooshy), and seems to clean better. My face feels nice after using Basis and is perfect for getting it ready for BP Gel . Most importantly, my skin looks better than it has been in years. Remember to wait 15 or 20 minutes after washing before applying BP Gel...my mistake on the regimen was not waiting long enough. I wait now until it is completely dry before applying the gel, and my skin looks much better for it. Complex 15 moisturizer is wonderful, too. Try it!

I love Basis Soap !!! I have used it on and off throughout the years.I did try the Oily Skin Bar in the 1980s and I simply can't find it anymore. But I did try the Vitamin Bar and I didn't like that one, but Once I tried the Sensitive Bar- It leaves my face Soft as ever!!! Plus I put Metrogel on my face afterwards due to having Rosacea now. I highly recommend this product!!!! For those who didn't do well with it oh well, I pray that they will find something that pleases them.
