Pros:WORKS GREAT! i loved how cheap it was and it's a really good cleanser! fragrance free, didn't dry out my skin, very affordable...great stuff!
Cons:took me a while to get it off at first, but now that i'm used to it, it comes right off!
Bottom Line:Try it! it works great & i can't get over how cheap it was!
Recommended:Yes

Pros:Removes all make-up (even water-proof varieties). Is very mild, e.g. calms redness on my face (I have rosacea type II) and never causes any sort of sensory reaction, breakouts, or clogged pores.
Cons:Drying in the winter or very dry climates (however, irritability is more important to me than how moisturizing a cleanser is). Fine for summer when it is very humid and skin is more oily in florida. Often hard to find locally.
Bottom Line:Have used this for years (especially in the summer months) and have no complaints. It's mild, it cleanses well, and never causes irritation or breakouts for me. It's also cheap as can be. If you're frustrated over your ultra-sensitive skin and tired of searching for a cleanser (especially if the sulfate-based detergents in liquid cleansers do not agree with your skin), then skip all the other beauty bars and try this one first. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Pros:I have used basis products since the mid 80's. It's the only soap that does not irritate my skin but also keeps me from getting too oily
Cons:finding it on a local store shelf. they are always out or do not restock
Bottom Line:I just hope they never quit making this soap.

I really like this soap. My favorite is Purpose in the bottle, but due to it's high cost I use Basis. Also, to me, the Purpose bar is just not the same as the stuff in the bottle -it seems to dry my skin a little more than I would like it to. It did take a week or two for me to get used to Basis after switching from the Purpose bottle, but now it's great.

This soap is very nice, but I find after a few days skin gets a little greasy. So, I just switch over to the antibacterial bar they have for a day or two, then switch back and forth as needed.

very cheap, cleans great, unlike the other bars this one is made from harmless chemicals.

When looking for a cleanser when i first decided to try regimen, I of course picked the cheapest because I didn't want to shell out alot of money if the regimen didn't work. Well the regimen works and I love this soap. I thought I would hate a bar soap but it is actually better than a pump...especially for someone who travels alot. The soap doesn't leave a residue if you rinse well and it leaves my oily skin feeling and looking great.

I use Basis Vitamin Bar and it doesn't leave residue at all .. and doesn't fall apart in your hands like most soaps do after being in the shower for a few days. I never used the Basis Senisitive Bar but the Vitamin Bar is definitely great and has never broken me out.

My doctor recommended Basis soap to me about 20 years ago. I used it for awhile way back then but couldn't remember how well it worked. I tried it again recently and could not believe the residue it left on my hands after taking an extra long shower. It obviously does not rinse off well. I can't believe any cleanser can be very good for you if it does not rinse off. I even started feeling itchy across my back. Threw it away. I now use Cetaphil.
