| Pros | cleared up my skin! no harmful chemicals good exfoliator |
|---|---|
| Cons | do not rub vigrously coz it can be quite abrasive. |
| Bottom line | I thought its time to give back ,after weeks of searching and trying about every listed natural remedy(totally against any kind of antibiotcs, which worsened my skin from light to moderate acne).I realized my acne was mainly due to pH imbalance.baking soda(mixed with a little H20 to form a paste,n applied gently on entire face for abt 2min) ,wash with water followed by diluted vinegar(50:50..applied after washing face with a cotton ball, once or twice a day) ,turned out to be my saviour.Have been using them for about 3 months now and my skin is doing gr8!.,its almost clear compared to what it was in jan(pizza face).I still tend to get one or two (major) pimples in a month..apart frm tht a few non inflamed comedones(minor ones)..i still have some dark spots left from previous pimples.wch will clear in a month or so..apart from that im good to go:)..do try it.it might help if ur acne is coz of pH imbalance.u can try drinking half a lemon squeezed in lukewarm water(half a cup) after breakfast n dinner,it helped me a gr8 deal!. |

| Pros | It cleared my face I started noticing that my scars were becoming lighter |
|---|---|
| Cons | Messy |
| Bottom line | After reading a lot of reviews on here, I was actually afraid to try it but I'm so glad I did! I have periods where my acne can get really bad and this cleared it right up. I've been using a mask for about a week now and I am very happy with the results. I put olive oil on my scars to soften them for about 5 minutes. Then, I take a wet wash cloth and heat it up as hot as I can stand it (for me, about 45 secs in the microwave) and put it on my face until it becomes cool to open my pores. I like to put baking soda in a small bowl, add a few drops of fresh lemon juice (note, if your skin is very sensitive you may want to forego the lemon) and then add water until it's a little softer than a toothpaste consistency. I put it on my face for a minimum of 10 minutes and then wash it off. The hardened baking soda exfoliates your skin as you wash it off. Make sure you moisturize a lot afterwards and that's it. Note: when the mask hardens it can begin to flake so be aware of your facial expressions! |

| Pros | -Makes a noticeable difference in the size of cystic pimples |

| Cons | -Stings -Irritates skin |
| Bottom line | Does not clear up acne completely but it’s worth a try if you are willing to do a mask once a week or mix with water and use as a scrub before bed. |

| Pros | good exfoliant squeaky clean skin |
|---|---|
| Cons | irritated my skin which made its condition worse stings NOT for sensitive skin |
| Bottom line | tried this about 3 times already, in different weeks, not consecutively. well, everytime i use this my skin is stinging. the last time I used it, I just pat it on the surface (not rub) but I felt that it still stings. It's not really meant for my sensitive skin. |

| Pros | clears up acne makes skin soft (it can be a great exfoliator) cheap (I get mine from the dollar store) helps with skin discoloration |
|---|---|
| Cons | None |
| Bottom line | Baking Soda is an amazing little acne fighting ingredient which I sometimes add to my face washes but most often use on my own. On its own, depending on how you want use it as (a face wash or as a mask) I either add a lot or little water to make to it. I use it most often as a mask. Here's what I do. -I put some in a little bowl/or cup and add water to it until it becomes a toothpaste texture -I put it on my face and leave it on for two minutes (I take this time to brush my teeth) -I rinse it off, tone, and moisturize I would recommend that you get it. Why? its so cheap and unless you have super sensitive skin (some people complain about it reddening and burning their skin, problems which I haven't really had) you really have nothing to loose. |

| Pros | Great exfoliant Available to everyone for very cheap |
|---|---|
| Cons | Did not clear acne at all |
| Bottom line | I used this for several months, and it gave my skin a healthy glow and sloughed off the dead skin, but it did not clear my acne at all. In fact, I felt like it made my scars stand out more and made the redness a lot more noticeable. I also kind of felt like it bleached my face a little bit, which was both good and bad - I have some dark hairs on my face but I don't want to look like death. Bottom line - great exfoliant, but if you want to get rid of acne, it may do nothing for you. |

| Pros | Cleared my moderate acne Makes skin baby soft Makeup goes on better Super cheap! |
|---|---|
| Cons | Use carefully if u have sensitive skin |
| Bottom line | I use the baking soda as a scrub three times a week mixed in with y usual cleanser. At first i used it only once a week but when i realised that ky acne started getting better I thought I would try using it three times and now my acne is tons better, it has gone from moderate bordering severe to light and I am v happy with that! Try giving it a go but do not scrub too hard! |

| Pros | Makes red marks a litte lighter but no sudden change (at least not for me) |
|---|---|
| Cons | - Stings like crazy, especially if you apply it on open acne wounds. - It can burn your face if you have sensitive skin |
| Bottom line | For me it helped in the beginning but I made the mistake of combining the baking soda with a cream my dermatologist had prescribed for me. Basically the cream thinned out my skin and made it more sensitive to acidic chemicals. I didn't know this until I put the baking soda on my face and it burned like crazy. After I washed it off, it had burned off a large portion of my skin on my cheek and it was not pretty. I was walking around for a week with an ugly scab until it healed. Needless to say, I will not be using baking soda anymore. At least not at the same time as I'm applying other creams. |

| Pros | Amazing! Shrinks Pimples right away. Saw a major difference in 4 days! Cheap |
|---|---|
| Cons | None! |
| Bottom line | Amazing. It dries out all pimples. I use it twice a day as a mask. If it works this well after 4 days can't wait to see what will happen in a month! |
