Pros ****IT WORKS!!****
Cons Absolutely nothin! It's GREAT
Bottom line I absolutely LOVE this! I've only used it a few times but i can tell it's workin. I'm 19 n I've had acne since middle school usually only on my chin but very deep huge ones. Right before my high school graduation my face cleared up! it was great. When i returned from my senior trip my face went crazy and now (3 months later) my right cheek is covered in old red marks. I've used every method i know about and nothin happened. I have even tried that method of using a potatoe..i had sunk to a new low with that one. Then i found this site. I read everyones comments and i thought i had nothing to lose. Although, this is only my second day of using this method It really does work!..my red marks on my cheek are still there but are fading. I love the way it leaves my skin feeling! I use it a little different tho. I use about 5teaspoons of baking soda & about 3teaspoons of pure limon juice every night. I leave the mask on for about 30 min. I recommend this for EVERYONE! It really does work

Pros CHEAP, easy to use as a mask or exfoliant, effective as something to use in addition to your regular skin regime. A rare case of an exfoliant, ino, that does not exacerbate the spreading of acne.
Makes skin less oily & smooth.
Cons It does make my skin a little red however its not irritated and the redness does not last long at all. Also if your not gentle or use it too often it can cause dryness/irritation. Be gentle! ;)
Bottom line I'm very happy to see something thats SO incredibly cheap work as well as it does.
I would not say this on its own would clear up my skin but its the ONLY exfoliant I've tried that hasn't made my problem worse.
(St. Ives acne scrub spread my acne.. it was HORRIBLE I do not recommend it btw. Evil!)
This is my current regime thats been working quite well..
(I don't use this everyday and certainly not more than once a day.)

1. wash with cetaphil anti-bacterial, rinse
2. lather hands again with cetaphil, add a pinch of baking soda, lather and GENTLY wash my face once more, rinse
3. pat dry. apply cetaphil moisturizing lotion

Pros Soft Skin
Cons Minor irritation
Bottom line I have only applied it once, 15 minutes ago.

I did about 2/3 baking soda 1/3 water. It was too watery so I basically just poured most of the liquid out and used my finger to mix it into a 'paste'.

After I made it I rubbed it onto my face and left it on for 15 minutes, rinsed and dried my face. My face was less red on spots and my face was drier.

So far after 10 minutes of use its better than proactive. Proactive is a scam IMO. With this you only need one item instead of 4 things to make the process work like the acne kits being sold.....also with a couple bucks you have like 2 years supply of this if it works for you.

Will post after a week of use for better results.

Pros It really works!
Cons None
Bottom line Myself and my two teenagers don't go in the bathroom without it. My fourteen year old son had a really bad acne problem - the doctor was afraid it will scar, so he gave us this very expensive cream that only dried terribly his skin and nothing much. Then we discovered the baking soda. We use it differently though: Wet washcloth with water rub some pure unscented soap like Dove, or I use Castile bar soap, sprinkle some baking soda on top, and rub your face, rinse. The redness and acne is all gone, and we all have baby skin. We also use it for body wash, and my sixteen year old daughter amazes all her friends with her silky, soft and shiny hear (you guess the secret - baking soda)! It washes away all dead skin, and any accumulated gunk. Diluted vinegar can be used for a rinse to restore the PH balance. Give it a chance - we use it for about three months now. The initial dryness goes away, leaving clean and perfect skin!

Pros IT WORKS!
Cons I really haven't had any cons.
Bottom line Its cheap. It works. If you want you can use it as a face mask over night(but be warned it gets all over the sheets, so if you have a S.O it might be a little bit annoying). So give it a try, it won't hurt ;-)

Pros Very cheap and multi-purpose
Cons Can be a little drying
Bottom line You should give it a try its super cheap and you cant beat that.I actually use it as an exfoliator.Just mix it with a little water but be sure not to scrub hard. You only need very mild scrubbing action lets not even call it scrubbing. It leaves my skin very smooth it does dry but just moisturize & you'll be fine.Give it a try you definently don't have any money to lose.Oh and put some in your bath it will soften your whole body.
