I started having acne after I turned 21 and I am now 24 years old. I have tried Murad which I give a major 2 thumbs down. I also have Proactive, which I must say does work more then anything else but it doesnt clear my face up like it promises. I found this site and read about Baking soda and I am SOOO excited to say this stuff works!! I cant believe how much it works in just a couple of days. I still use the proactive in the morning and then I just rinse my face with warm water at night and do the baking soda for 15 min. I will recommend this to everybody!!!!

This stuff is great and inexpensive. I'm 43 and have tried many many products, prescription and nonprescription since my acne started when I was 13. About a month ago I started reading a book which gave reference to baking soda as being a good product for acne. I tried it and "Oh my goodness." My skin is clearer than it has been in years. I have cystic acne and baking soda cleans deep. The under the skin bumps are disappearing. They've been there for years! Even the dark spots are lightening. (Don't need hydroquinone) Talk about natural cures. I use it every day

Baking Soda is probably the greatest thing for acne!!

I've only been using it for 3 days and my skin looks so much better!!...I used to have a lot of acne on my cheeks, nose, chin, forehead, almost everywhere, and the acne were big cysts and whiteheads...so 5 months ago I bought Proactiv for $45.00...I used Proactiv for 5 months and it didnt even work, so I turned to the internet for natural cures because I was sick of this crap! I read about abking soda and I tryed it and it works so good, I never should have wasted money on Proactiv!! If you want maximnum results with baking soda do it like this:

First take 1 tablespoon of baking soda(table spoon is the one you eat with) and mix it in a bow with about 1 teaspoon of water...If you add to much water then the baking soda will be more wet then pasty, if you add too much water then add more baking soda to even it out and stir till it gets pasty like toothpaste.

Now cleanse your face with warm water, NOT HOT! warm, and leave the water on dont dry it off and apply the baking soda mixture and DONT SCRUB your skin with the baking soda!! just appy it gentley and leave it on for 15 minutes, try to hold out even if it burns, after 15 minutes wash it off VERY GENTLEY with cold water, because warm water opens up pores but cold water closes them, so clean off your baking soda gentley with cold water and then just pat it with a CLEAN towel just a little and let it dry off by itself...THERE YOU GO IT WORKED FOR ME AND I HOPE IT WORKS FOR YOU!!

THIS IS TOTALLY AMAZING!!!
i was always buying perscribed anti-acne products and, to put it nicely, it was a totaly pain in the *ss! every month to get a new perscription... go to the pharmacy... and spend a fortune! such a lovely routine! (yeah right...)
so i decided to try some natural sorta things! (you know! like kitchen products!)
My first thought went to lemon! Because it's a form of acid (like all acne products) and so i bought 1 fresh lemon every week (not expensive!) and every night or so i would squeeze out some juice and apply it to my face! trust me- it works! only problem is that after a while your face starts to become REALLY red and flakey- so i sorta gave up and that treatment and tried to think of something else...
hmmmm... i decided to give baking powder a try! i did...
and i tell you know that- it's close to miraculous!
and i couldn't believe it when i found this site which confirmed what i thought! so thank you guys!!!!!!!!

I always get break outs on my forehead and cheeks..adn i've tried every over the counter name brand crap yu can think of and nothing controlled it. then my mom came home one day and was telling me about using baking soda...except she didnt kno quite how to use it...so TONIGHT! i googled it..adn this site came up! so first off...thanks for the directions! they helped! and secondly...it works!
1 tbsp of baking soda
aprox. 1 tbsp of water (keep it pastey!!)
i also followed with some toner...which works really well! it stings/burns just a little..but my face is smoother..adn the pimples on my forehead...practically gone!
TRY IT!! 3X A WEEK!! DO IT!

Tried this trick tonite.. OMG it stinged the living out of me.. Of coure I think I may have used way too much B/S as I was having probloms getting it to form into a paste until I added 2 Tbps of B/S to about 1/4 cup of water.

I'm giving it one more try later this week with alot less B/S but till here's my rating

Just tried this stuff. I saw results after I got out of the shower! Makes skin soft and less red. Tbsp of baking soda plus a tbsp of water to make a paste. Rub on face and leave for 5-10 minutes. Wash off and skin is soft. Beware, it stings a bit.
