| Pros | Nothing, really. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Nothing here either, lol. |
| Bottom line | This baking soda/water spot treatment idea failed for me. It just didn't do anything at all. |

| Pros | *Makes skin baby soft *SOO cheap |
|---|---|
| Cons | *I overused it and it gave me a disgusting red rash with pimply lumps in it, but it went away shortly. |
| Bottom line | With proper use, this is a great product. Just be careful to mix with copious amounts of water and rinse off thoroughly, moisturizing afterwords. |

| Pros | -Soft skin -Reduced redness -got rid of my blackheads immediately -cleared acne |
|---|---|
| Cons | -stung a bit |
| Bottom line | I tried this for the first time today, cleared all my blackheads and reduced the redness of my acne :) I made a thick paste using baking soda and water, then added some lemon juice (just from a small slice) and some olive oil. It's amazing! |

| Pros | flattens and reduces the size of pimples leaves skin soft made my skin have a better overall appearance got rid of some of my blackheads |
|---|---|
| Cons | my whole face was red for an hour after washing the baking soda off dries skin |
| Bottom line | After reading all the good reviews here, I decided to try it. I mixed the baking soda with water, and applied it on my face like a mask. I left it on for about 15 minutes. After i washed the mask off, my skin was soft, and my pimples were visibly reduced. However, my whole face turned a bright red colour!! Luckily, an hour later, my skin turned normal again. :) For something so cheap, I recommend trying it, but make sure you are not busy for the next hour or so, because your skin may turn red. |

| Pros | - none |
|---|---|
| Cons | - irritated skin - drying - messy |
| Bottom line | I started to use this after my cousin recommended baking soda since it worked for some of her friends so i have been using it for a little over a month. So far there are no differences in my acne's condition or appearance so i feel like i wasted my time and i have lost all my patience. There were no pros but there were some cons. I have dry skin so this made my skin dryer. So i don't recommend it for dry skin or combination/dry skin. It also tickled/stung my face when ever i used it so i don't recommed it for sensitive skin. Also the whole process was kind of messy. I would put a few drops of water in on the baking soda and then would mix it together until it would become a paste. It was really messy and inconvieniant. As usual i recommend you to try all the products and do all the research you can to help cure your acne and even though this didnt work for me it could work for you. Good Luck on your Acne Journey! <3 |

| Pros | -super cheap -completely easy -clears acne (for most) -cleans skin -great for oily people :) -no weird smells or harsh chemicals |
|---|---|
| Cons | -stings a little (irratation) -a bit messy -may not work for you if you have very sensitive skin (be aware folks!) |
| Bottom line | I'm a teen with moderate break outs, but a couple weeks ago I got the WORST breakout I've ever had. Guys, it was gross. But, when I looked up some home remedies, I found baking soda the most reliable. I tried it and guess what, IT WORKED! I could finally show my face again -If you have really sensitive skin, add a lot of water and only a little bit of baking soda, then it doesnt irratate as much -if not, go for it :) mix water and baking soda together untill it makes a paste, then slab it on those pesty zits and wait 30mins-1hr, you can even leave it on all night if you desire. -use it once a week for oil and acne treatment, and MOISTURIZE! Because trust me, it does dry out your skin!!! ITS TOTALLY WORTH THE TRY!!! |

| Pros | - Leaves clean feeling - Skin LOOKS cleaner - Natural - Exfoliates - Unclogs pores - Sucks up sebum - Clean smell (no fragrance) - You can use this as a cleanser, scrub or mask - Cheap and can be bought anywhere - I heard that it also evens out your skin tone and lightens freckles - Smaller Pores |
|---|---|
| Cons | - Slight irritating feeling on cheeks for the first few minutes - A little messy (buy some kind of container to keep it in) |
| Bottom line | I'm a teenager and I have mild acne, mostly in my T-zone, chest and shoulders. I dislike using acne cleansers like Clean & Clear and Oxy because of all the chemicals, harsh medications and fragrances in them. It just doesn't make my skin feel truly 'clean'. I do like soap such as ivory, and it gets my skin clean, but it doesn't really prevent new pimples. A few days ago, I started reading on the internet about baking soda and how well it works on acne. So I figured that I'd try the toothpaste that I bought to whiten my teeth to clean my face called Arm & Hammer Toothpaste w/ Baking Soda and Peroxide. I wet my face and massaged it gently all over my face and left it on for about 5 minutes. The toothpaste was mint flavored so it made my face and eyes have a 'cold' sensation. The next morning, I couldn't believe it. No sebum what-so-ever! My complexion also looked better and my pimples seemed to shrink overnight. I will continue to use plain baking soda and water since toothpaste isn't really for your face and see if it continues to reduce my acne. ALSO: I would only use this once a day, preferably at night, since this dries your skin a little. But that should be enough. |

| Pros | -faded red marks -exfoliated -shrunk acne |
|---|---|
| Cons | -bad on sensitive skin |
| Bottom line | It often stung and burned on my sensitive skin. It did work most of the time, but sometimes it made things worse. I had a healing patch of skin that was in between a scab and healed, and it opened it back up again. Now I'm back to square one to heal it. |

| Pros | *Natural *makes skin soft *easy to use *clear pores *perfect for black heads *cheap *sucks dirt out of pores |
|---|---|
| Cons | *can be harsh for sensative skin *messy *If not used correctly can be violent |
| Bottom line | take one cup of baking soda but make sure it is not an extremely strong type, I made this mistake by using baking soda i bought from a Russian store which is 100% baking soda and extremely strong. 1)to the baking soda add just enough water to make a paste 2)add 2 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice 3)1 tablespoon of sugar **the fallowing is optional** * 1 tablespoon of olive oil (if skin is extremly dry) *1 egg white *a drop of honey *1 teaspoon of lavender oil *Dried basil then put on area that is littered by black heads.I have horrible black heads on my nose that literally stick out. Bottom line, it may sting at first but with evreyday use you will notice your black heads to be completely gone and in my case completely flatten. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT BEING APPLIED TO SKIN OTHER THEN NOSE OR CHIN. |
