Pros: Worked for me! Bottom Line: Had been on two or three other antibiotics previously with little to no improvement. Was very mild on my stomach, although my sister almost threw up when she was perscribed it! Recommended: Yes Usage: Casey has used this item for a few months. Pros: It clears up my skim pretty well. I still get a few pimples here and there, but the meds do kick my break outs in the butt. Cons: If you stop taking this med the break outs will worsen. Pros: only antibiotic that actually got rid of my acne made my cystic acne on my back go away faster and cleared up my entire face. Cons: headaches and nausea...though this only seems to happen when i overwork my body. Bottom Line: try this if nothing else is working!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: Cleared my acne up greatly and quickly!!! Even after i stopped using it, my acne came back only in small pimples, which was very controlable. Cons: Very mild skin sensitivity to sunlight. Bottom Line: If you have bad or even moderate acne, and afraid of harsh side effects of other antibotics such as Accutain, then this stuff is for you!!!! Pros: The medicine is inexpensive and has low side effects. The other anti-biotics I have taken cause pretty severe sensitivity to the sun, but I did not expereince this with Bactrim. Cons: I have mild-severe scalp acne. The bactrim does not completely stop break outs, but it does prevent the larger postules from forming. Bottom Line: There are more powerful anitbiotics available, but they have stronger side effects. Bactrim will probably cure your mild acne problems, but it doesn't perform as well for severe cases. Pros: I've tried EVERYTHING to clear up my acne on my back, chest, and face and nothing has worked but this. And it works VERY well while you take it. I experienced no negative side effects that i know of. Cons: Only works while you take it. Doesn't permanantly get rid of your acne. When you stop taking it, you break out BAD. But I've been taking it for six months and haven't experienced anything bad so as long as I keep taking it I'm good! Bottom Line: It works very well. I highly recommend it! Pros: Clears skin fast. I havent had any breakouts what so ever since starting. Seriously not one new spot. I am amazed its crazy, ive been on other antibiotics but nothing compares to Bactrim DS. Im only taking it until I go on Accutane 5 weeks from now. Cons: Give's me a yeast infection, so I dont want to stay on it for too long. I dont like the ideal of taking antibiotics for long periods of time. Im gonna do Accutane and get it over with. I am clear now but once I stop the Bactrim I will break out. Bottom Line: This stuff works and fast so its worth a shot, especially if you have something important coming up in a few weeks. Some people are allergic to it so be careful. Im all good though except for the whole yeast infection but im taking care of that and also bought some yogurt which will help too.
