| Pros | IT DEFINATELY WORKS. I STARTED GETTING ACNE AFTER I HAD MY SON AND THE DR. PUT IN AN IUD. AFTER THAN MY SKIN WENT TO HELL. SORRY FOR THE WORD BUT THATS WHAT HAPPEN. I HAVE NEVER HAD PROBLEMS WITH ACNE BEFORE. |

I USED PREVIOUSLY BUT HAD TO QUIT BECAUSE I HAD A BABY AND STARTED BACK A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO AND RIGHT NOW I AM NOT TAKING IT BUT AM STILL CONCERNED ABOUT MY SKIN SO I WILL PROBABLY TAKE IT FOR A WHILE QUIT GO BACK TO IT.ECT... MY FACE LOOKS GOOD RIGHT NOW BUT MY UPPER BACK HAS BROKE OUT AGAIN SO NEEDLESS TO SAY I WILL HAVE TO START TAKING IT AGAIN. I ALSO HAVE A PICKING ISSUE SO I AM SURE THAT KEEPS ME FROM HEALING AS WELL. GOOD LUCK TO ALL. |

| Cons | constipation is an issue if you're prescribed Double the dosage for severe acne, which is what I had- but it only lasts for couple days. This medication has barely any side-effects! |

| Pros | Begins to work straight away. Basically stops any spots you get from turning red, and they heal very fast. |

| Bottom line | Trimethoprim works fast and very effective. The only thing I have ever taken or used that has made any difference. Been taking for three years and had no side effects. Came off it for a short while and skin gradually got worse again. |

| Pros | This medicine works! I have done everything. you name it i've done it...literally. My acne is under the skin so it's a little more complicated to heal but this medicine knocks it out. |

| Pros | I am now well into my 10th day of taking bactrim and it is just starting to work noticeably. My nodular acne is getting smaller. I have been taking this as a temporary treatment before I start accutane. |

| Bottom line | Most people said this worked for them but it DID NOT work for me. I didn't have an allergic reaction but its almost like it didn't affect my skin at all. And it made me lose weight like crazy. Which shouldn't be a problem but for someone already being 20-30 pounds underweight it was quite an issue for me. You think for all those side effects it'd work like a mirace but nooope, not for me. |
