| Bottom line | it just didnt work. if u have to decide between accutane and bactrim, go for the accutane instead of wasting ur time with this drug. |

| Pros | I used it for five years and it cleared up my skin, but I still got mild breakouts. I used the generic brand and it was inexpensive. |

| Cons | It did not clear up my blackheads (but I have large pores anyways.) My dermatologist made me get monthly blood tests while I was on it to check my cell count. I weened myself off of it, and my skin has broken out like never before. |
| Bottom line | It works, along with a good skin care regimen. I found the generic brand elsewhere, which was very inexpensive and I no longer was required get monthly blood tests as prescribed by my former dermatologist (not the smartest thing to do, but it cut costs for me.) I will not go back on it even though it worked, because being on an antibiotic that long cannot be healthy for my system in the long-run. |

| Pros | i tried doxycyline, erythromycin, 2 courses accutane...this works the best. i use it with differin and clindamycin 1% |

| Pros | About 6months ago I started breaking out severely! I tried everything, but nothing seemed to work, not even accutane. About 2 weeks ago I started taking Bactrim. My face is completely clear and cyst free! |

| Bottom line | you MUST give it a try! I'm amazed at how quick this medication worked. Now Im following this regiment that is keeping my face clear: 1) taka Bactrim 2)wash face (am and pm) with Neutrogena oil free acne wash 3) Use Benxoyl Peroxide (am and pm), followed by a retinol lotion, I use Murad skin perfecting lotion. 4)Also, use a night cream that will help with the scars. I use DDF Nutrient K plus. I also found the most amazing make-up that will hide anything!!! you have to get it! Estee Lauder Maximun cover foundation OR, for something a little lighter, try Estee Lauder Double Matte. All I know is that it is worth the investment! It really boosted my self-esteem! so please try! |

| Cons | Red rash that appears out of nowhere, I cant sleep! This stuff keeps me awake cos my body just aches after 2 weeks into this, im on the 800mg dosage. And man do my joints and muscles ache, headaches lots of headaches and you pretty much feel like poo |
| Bottom line | As a body builder, im currently fighting acne due to triggered hormones produced from all the exercise im doing. This stuff works but man do you feel like its working against you especially in the gym. |

| Pros | Worked better than anything I've ever used! Cleared up acne on face, neck, chest, and back within days. |

| Bottom line | DO NOT TAKE, this medication it is very dangerous. I have never had a allergic reaction to anything in my life until I was introduced to Bactrim. If you want a great face, a bad rash and a horrible sore throat this is the drug for you. |

| Pros | Works so well. I've had bad acne for years and this is the only thing that has ever worked for me and kept working. I only gave it a 4 b/c it won't work once you stop taking it. |

| Cons | You MUST stay on it, which is bad for any sort of medication. If you stop, you are guaranteed to break out, which can be really depressing for some people. I know I don't want to go back. |
| Bottom line | So great because it is not as harmful as accutane, it's inexpensive, and it works very well. But you may end up going on accutane anyway b/c as soon as you stop this, you're gonna need something to control that acne!But it's worth it to get some time with clear skin! |
