| Pros | I am on day 3 of this and love it!!! For the past 3 months I have been on 3 other antibiotics and non worked. I already see my cysts getting smaller and pimples healing. |

| Cons | I am prone to yeast infections and have gotten a HORRIBLE one due to this antibiotic. If you are prone to these, you may want to ask for a diflucan prescription. |

| Pros | I had that cystic acne and on top of that pimples all around it. It was horrible but i have been using Bactrim for not even a week now and most of my pimples are just about gone and the cysts are getting smaller by day. |

| Bottom line | I have tried so much crap for acne that it is unbelievable but Bactrim has actually shown an improvement and in less than a week too. I'm usiing the generic brand so it's only costing me 15 dollars which is great. If you're not allergic to it talk to your derm and try it out and see how it works for you. |

| Pros | Cleared up about 95% so far. Works swiftly. VERY CHEAP! |

| Cons | You MUST drink water while on this medication or you will feel parched. You MUST eat something with this medication or you will feel slight stomach sickness . It has not cleared up blackhead as of yet. |

| Pros | Bad, bad cystic acne. After week of usage, acne began to "dry" up, but sores still raised from skin. Starting to see a change for the positive though. |

| Bottom line | Try it!! The combination of using Bactrim twice a day and then washing face at night with a soap-free wash and applying a prescription topical cream at night seems to be doing the trick. I have already received compliments of how my face seems to be clearing up. I hope this continues to work as my next step would be Accutane, which doesn't thrill me since that is quite an involved process. |

| Bottom line | ive been taking this medication for about a week now and after reading all the reviews i was really excited to finally see my cystic acne go away . over the past week ive broken out more then ever and just hope its somewhat like accutane where it worsens at first but all the reviews are described at immediate results. if anyone knows whether it will get better or im just wasting my time and making my acne worse please let me know.. |

| Pros | Worked very quickly. I have had acne my whole life. I took acutane which worked wonders but acne came back. Starting taking this and had great results yet again. |

| Bottom line | If you have huge boil/cyst acne, this will work great for you. I never had one cyst while one this medication. I would tend to have one every other month when not taking it. Its cheap and works great quickly. I did stop taking it and my face broke out again. Just started taking it again... |

| Cons | Headaches and nausea but if you drink lots of water, headache should disappear. Plenty of water and take it in full stomach so that you don't get headaches and nausea. Frink plenty of water for sure. |
| Bottom line | I'm still taking it. It seems to work. Been taking it for 2 1/2 weeks now. I heard there are some side effects like kidney problems etc.. but still have to ask my Dermatologist about it. |

| Pros | It clears up acne and if you stay on it, you will continue to stay clear for the most part. i was on it for almost 2 years and had very clear skin. |

| Cons | after i went off of it for a few months I began to have mild breakouts which eventually got significantly worse. |
| Bottom line | it will help your acne, but it's not a long term solution. i'm 21 years old now. i'm hoping that i will grow out of my acne soon. hopefuly if i take this for another year I can go off without having any major breakouts. otherwise, i suppose i will have to go on accutane, even though i sincerely dread it. | Cons | Allergic reaction, broke out even worse when I had to stop taking it. |
| Bottom line | After about a week and a half, this made me break out in hives over my entire body and it gave me a fever. After two days of not taking it, the hives started to go away. And now that I'm off of it, I'm breaking out worse than before. I've also heard that it can cause life-threatening allergic reactions, so pay attention to side effects! |
