Pros: It worked well, I have only been taking the product for a week. Cons: I broke out in a rash and is now suffering from a sore throat. Bottom Line: DO NOT TAKE, this medication it is very dangerous. I have never had a allergic reaction to anything in my life until I was introduced to Bactrim. If you want a great face, a bad rash and a horrible sore throat this is the drug for you. Recommended: No Usage: Rachel has used this item for about a week. Pros: Works so well. I've had bad acne for years and this is the only thing that has ever worked for me and kept working. I only gave it a 4 b/c it won't work once you stop taking it. Cons: You MUST stay on it, which is bad for any sort of medication. If you stop, you are guaranteed to break out, which can be really depressing for some people. I know I don't want to go back. Bottom Line: So great because it is not as harmful as accutane, it's inexpensive, and it works very well. But you may end up going on accutane anyway b/c as soon as you stop this, you're gonna need something to control that acne!But it's worth it to get some time with clear skin! Pros: Cleared up my skin which has mild everything: white heads, black heads, cysts, etc. Cons: Not sure of it's safety long term, and you HAVE to be consistent Bottom Line: I took Bactrim DS twice a day for six years and my skin looked perfect! Maybe a small pimple once a week or month, but nothing major. I definitely noticed if I missed even one pill I'd break out every time though. I decided to stop because I was worried about being on it too long and I'm breaking out like crazy. :( Oh well, guess my time for clear skin is up! Pros: CLEARED UP MY ACNE RIGHT AWAY!!! THE BUMPS, ESPECIALLY THE CYSTS, HAVE GONE AWAY!! Pros: This is the only thing that has ever really worked for me. I've been on the stuff for over 4 years and my skin has never been better. Would definitely recomend. Cons: None. Bottom Line: Try it. Pros: Doesn't cause sensitivity to the sun Cons: bad side affects from what i've heard Bottom Line: Im just started this medicine because it doesn't cause sensitivity to sun like my previous antobiotic Doryx i hope this one works just as good! so far i havn't seen much improvement but i'm only on the 2 day well see how it takes me! Pros: Have seen improvement, generic version is inexpensive Cons: Long-term use, potential allergic reactions Bottom Line: I have been on Septra DS for 6 months and have seen a great improvement in my skin, however, I am using it in combination with Retin-A (10 months), so I'm not sure which (or both) is causing the improvement. I was very hesitant to use this because I've heard a lot about allergic reactions, both mild and severe. Luckily I have not experienced any adverse reaction to this medication. Pros: better than nothing Cons: takes a very long time Bottom Line: ive been on this for over 6 months, cleared me up a little then i stopped taking it for like a week and broke out again, now i make sure not to miss any and its starting to work again, still went through 8 months of hell while everyone else worked immediatly, happy to have a semi decent face again Recommended: Yes Usage: mark has used this item for about a year.
