I've only been using azaelic acid for a couple weeks now (I'm using Finacea) but I'm very pleased with it. I've tried Retin-A and Retin-A Micro, but they irritate my skin too much. Having sensitive skin, I'm suprised that I have had no discomfort from this because so many others seem to have. I love it-It works great and it is the ONLY thing I've used that works and doesn't make my skin red, flaky, and painful.

I used it a few years ago. It worked ok at first but the tingling and itching got to a point where I had to stop using it.

Free on English NHS! Woohoo!

But does it work? It sort of does. It dries out skin pretty well and stops you getting too many new ones, but my god does it itch!

I have used Azelex for 3 weeks now, applying 2 times daily. It has not made my face red, itchy or dry. My acne is only mild to moderate little pimples, but it has caused me to break out in larger pimples that are really painful. I will contine to use for my 6 week trial, but I feel that this was another waste of time and money.

Well...I have tried lots of diffrent medicines such as benzaclin, clindymycin, benzoyl perozide, differin, retin-A and all of those burn and caused chemical burns on my face. As for Azelex I have been using this product for about a week. (It says use for 4 weeks before seeing real good results) Anyways, the first few days or so it made my skin really itchy and tingily, but nowhere near as bad as everything else. Now it doesn't itch or feel anything which is great. As for the pimples, the old ones fade amazingly, but I seem to be getting little pimples more, but overall face looks better. Im going to continue and see how it goes, but so far so good. So nice on the face.

Azelex was the only thing that ever made my skin completely clear. For the first month that I used it, it made my skin itch uncontrollably. After that first month, though, the itching went away and so did my acne. It was great for getting rid of my dark spots, and made my pores look infinitely smaller. I have extremely oily skin, but Azelex helped to control my shine factor. It was great. The only problem is that as soon as you stop using it, the pimples come back. Constant use is the key. I really recommend it. The itching is soooo worth having clear skin, and it only lasts for a little while.

Azelaic Acid (I use Skinoren) is the best acne topical I've tried and I've used Retin-A, Differin, various topical antibiotics, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, and glycolic acid. Azelaic Acid is antibacterial, exfoliating, and anti-inflammatory. It also helps fade marks left over from past breakouts. I don't know any other product that can do all this. It left me a bit itchy for a few minutes during the first week or so but then side effect quickly subsided. Great stuff!

I used this product only briefly (around 3 months). It didn't really work at all for me. I always haad lesions on my face. I used it in coordination with Retin-a (0.05% cream). In short,
it didn't work for me. Good luck and stay strong.
