| Pros: | It quickly reduced pimples. my dermatologist gave me like 12 mini boxes for free.... |
| Cons: | And then it made my face red, inflamed, burning and look like sh*t for a week solid. |
| Bottom Line: | If this does work well, I have yet to see it do so.
Acid Bath anyone?
My background is 3/4 Sicillian and 1/4 Finnish. My skin is incredibly thick, smooth and strong. Nothing ever irritates it.
this did. I am going to let it do its thing though as it did stop the pimples in 24 hours. Now it just looks really really raw. |

| Pros: | great at fading dark spots great at controlling oil |
| Cons: | none!!!!!!! (i wouldnt dare complain about the price- i paid 100.00 bucks for it but its worth it). |
| Bottom Line: | i use finacea and it is amazing. i have the most hypersensitive skin in the world and ive searched for years for something that actually fades hyperpigmentation and does so without irritating my skin. my prayers were finally answered when i started using finacea. my spots are not completely gone but they have faded a lot and my skin tone is more even and radiant. it works really fast. i personally dont have the itching or burning that others have complained about. i love this product!! i will be using this for a long, long time. even if its just for maintenance reasons. |

| Pros: | Clears blackheads, smaller comedones, and cysts. Starts working immediately. One of the few products my skin isn't allergic to. Works on hormonal acne too! |
| Cons: | Stings a bit if your skin is still wet when you apply it. Steep price if you don't have insurance, but if you can come up with the money, and have stubborn acne like myself, it's totally worth it. |
| Bottom Line: | The best topical I've ever used. This in combination with Rosula, for my body acne, equals the closest thing to a normal complexion I've had since I was on Accutane. (I also highly recommend allergy tests for acne sufferers. I found I am allergic to dairy, since I've given it up I've noticed a huge difference.) |

| Pros: | gives you the feel of smooth skin, have yet to see the cons the azelaic acid supposedly gives to some people. |
| Cons: | mild burning irritation when applying to face. |
| Bottom Line: | Azelex was prescribed to me only a week ago because i have acne as well as keratosis pilaris. it looks and feels like a Retina-A type product, but has different results. Withint this short period of time that ive used I IMMEDIATELY felt my skin SO much smoother than i have ever felt it since i can remember. I naturally have sensitive skin that can dry real easy, but havent experienced any sort of those problems with this product. Its cliche, but i have tried every acne product out there from proactive, to retina-A, to IPL, to accutane and have never experienced any significant recovery (accutane stoped my breakouts though), but i have never had anything that made me feel so optimistic or have given me immiediate results like this after merely a few days. |

| Pros: | Finacea doesn't hurt your skin. I find it cosmetically elegant. I find my skin tone more even and it has helped to quickly heal "underground" cysts and whiteheads alike. I feel like I am finally able to use a product that is 'caring' for my skin. |
| Cons: | A little irritation at first around my eye area. Don't bring it too close up . |
| Bottom Line: | I feel this is a helpful topical. It was the only topical that my skin wasn't a raw, red flaky disaster. I think it reduced the number of blemishes and redness in my skin. It simply feels better to the touch and looks smoother overall. |

| Pros: | I am on my 12th day using Finacea for acne.I noticed results within a couple of days. It cleared my blackheads, its lightening my scars and my skin texture is brighter. It also controlling my breakouts. |
| Cons: | very minor itching |
| Bottom Line: | I went to get laser treatment on an acne scar gone bad on my face(from squeezing/picking)at a Stanford skin clinic. The Dr's immediatly recommended Finacea and gave me samples and a prescription along with a topical bleaching cream to speed up the healing. I was hesitant and have been holding on to the prescription paper not filled yet. I have been using the samples. I am veryimpressed with the results I am now getting it filled. My face is clear and my dark scars have faded. I can give up my concealer.I plan to use this continually. I use a mild cleanser and remove makeup with witch Hazel and use Finacea under my moisturizer/sunscreen. I drink more water.I have used lots of prods, proactiv and antibiotics etc nothing compares to the gentle and fast results of Finaea. I have always had mild acne that always leaves dark scars in my teens,20s&30s. I am now 42. Everyone thinks I am 25 I always thought it was because I had acne.I now like what I see when I look in the mirror!w/insurance/$10 |

| Pros: | I use Azelex, it has a mattifying quality that makes me look better. It doesn't cause any redness or peeling. My skin is more even toned and my scars are fading. Combined with Proactiv lotion works great. |
| Cons: | The first few applications had a very mild stinging sensation but after the first few days that stopped happening. Now it feels great. Seemed to sting more if my skin was even a little damp. |
| Bottom Line: | I used Proactiv, Murad, Retin A, the oil cleansing method, Birth control pills, Benzaclin, and oral tetracycline. My skin would peel and crack and the redness and irritation seemed to get as infected as my zits. Azelex is changing all that. The cream is soothing, and I haven't experienced any redness. I almost don't need foundation. My pores are smaller now. When I feel I need it I may infrequently combine with leftover proactiv lotion. For years I thought acne meant I had oily skin but now I know that I have dry skin. I have begun to treat my skin like a piece of old lace and it has improved. Cetaphil wash is the strongest soap I use, Thayers Rose water witch hazel for toner (alcohol free),Azelex cream, and Neutrogena sunblock 30 spf and I am done. Considerably less expensive too since Azelex is covered by my insurance and the other stuff probably cost 25 bucks total. |
