Pros: Cheap, which is ALWAYS, -ALWAYS- a pro! Can be used with aloe vera, honey, plain yogurt, witch hazel, or just alone with the water. Cons: Some dryness to the skin in certain areas, not suggested for those with sensitivities to aspirin or honey. Bottom Line: Used this a few days ago, and noticed near immediate results. Finer bumps along the hallow of my cheekbones shrunk, and redness relieved. Also noticed a few nasty acne scars fade a bit, particularly one along my chin; that sucker was sticking out like a sore thumb! It's still pretty noticeable, but not nearly as bad. Had a few bumps that I could feel, JUST under the surface of my skin. I knew immediately that they were going to be real shiners, but today...I can't feel them, at all! All I can say, is try it. But, don't think you're gonna get immediate results. It may take a few weeks before you notice any drastic changes. And be careful! Even if you use something like honey or yogurt, that's not enough to keep your skin from drying out. Use a moisturizer. Recommended: Yes Usage: Stephanie has used this item for a day or two. Pros: fine if only used for a short time Cons: seriously dangerous if you leave on your skin for too long. i made this mistake and the aspirin burned through the skin and caused an open wound, that is likely to scar. Bottom Line: Use with caution and don't repeat too often as you may not see the full effects (skin peeling, redness etc) for a while afterwards. Seriously, be careful! Pros: Gets rid of redness, inexpensive, Cons: Can only be used once or twice a week, followed by a moisturizer Bottom Line: Crush up some asprin that contains acetylsalicylic acid (NON COATED)... add a few drops of water (NOT TOO MUCH OR CAN GET REALLY RUNNY)... add 4-5 drops of honey... apply to face... leave for 10 minutes... wash it off with a circular motion to exfoliate.. apply a moisturizer... Pros: Cheap, WORKS!, easy to get hold of, Easy to do Cons: Can dry out skin if used too often, have to make it yourself, quite grainy texture (can come off your face if you touch it accidentally :S) Bottom Line: I have tried so many expensive products and this works better than any of them. I was a bit surprised at the consistency as I thought it would be more creamy but it is meant to be grainy (great for exfoliating). This definitely has improved my skin but just be careful not to use it too often. I did it every other day and started getting dry almost flaky bits of skin on my chin and cheeks. This could just be my sensitive skin but don't do it too often if you are worried about this. I do it twice a week. Also if you are taking paracetemol/aspirin for pain relief at the same time just be aware that your skin will absorb some aspirin. Not a lot but still - there is a possibility you could slightly overdose. But I don't think its that huge a deal with the amount that is absorbed. Pros: so far soo good Cons: none Bottom Line: My face broke out a few week ago, and i have tried everything nothing worked. So yesterday i decided that i couldn't live with this acne more bought a bottle of aspirin. I tried the mask yesterday and this morning i woke up the acne has dried alot, I will continue to do this until everything is gone. My face has never broken out until i started to use facial products. After my face heal i will stop using all facial product except for my cetapil wash and moisturizer. Pros: - Soften Skin - Cheap - Gets rid of pimples Cons: - The smell, but you'll get used to it Bottom Line: 1) Take around 2-3 tablets of aspirin. 2) Sprinkle drops of water on the aspirin, if you use too much water, it will become too mushy.3). Add 2 squirts of Honey onto the aspirin and mix together. Honey contains enzymes thats been proven to heal the skin. It helps to restore and rejuvenate the skin making it appear younger and softer and smoother.If you are allergic to honey, use aloe vera or just stick with plain aspirin. 5)Now, start applying the entire mixture on your face. Leave it 10-15 MINUTES. After, wash this cleanser off your face. As you are washing it off, take advantage of the grainy texture of the aspirin and exfoliate your skin. Pros: Its cheap and easy Cons: None Bottom Line: I had a big boiler on my chin. So like most people I decided to perform surgery. It made it completely worse it was inflamed and even bigger than before. I read about using crushed up aspirin. It worked great. -Took 1 uncoated aspirin crushed it up to a powder then added a little witch hazel (can get at a pharmacy) Cheap as well. - Will probably be gritty -Applied to affected area left on for a couple of hours, then rinsed with cold water to close the pore, and it was gone.
