Aspirin Mask Reviews

I love how cheap and easy it is to make this - I get a bottle of aspirin from the dollar store, then take about 8-10 caplets and mix them with a few drops of hot water to dissolve them into a paste.
I then apply the paste to my face in a circular motion and wait for it to dry - usually about five minutes or less - and wash off with a washcloth afterward.
My only complaints are that the aspirin flakes off easily as it dries, and gets all caught up in the washcloth, though it's easy enough to wash out. I've noticed it calms pimples and takes away the redness.

I have used a paste made from aspirin a few times a week for about month and it really does work. I noticed my acne has cleared and my red spot have really lightened up.

I have no idea what this mask is, but my daughter began using pure aspirin as a scrubbing exfoliant about a month ago. She takes 5-6 aspirins, crushes them, and makes a paste with water in the palm of her hand. She then 'washes' her face with this paste and rinses. Of course, she has washed her face in the usual manner first. She is almost 19 and, for the first time since she hit puberty, she has clear skin. Her acne has always been fairly severe and it has long affected her self-esteem. She has tried numerous costly products with moderate success, but there were always pimples somewhere on her face. She even eliminated dairy from her diet, which made a huge difference, but still didn't completely clear her skin. It wasn't until she began the aspirin regimin on a whim that she (and I) noticed a dramatic improvement. While I am concerned that long-term use could be harmful to her skin, I can say that I honestly have never seen her face look better than it does today!

This is just OKAY for mild exfoliation. It was not earth shattering. It is not like those of us with chronic moderate to severe acne will be drastically helped. I found it to be rather messy. I HATED how it got into my nose and eyes as the mask dried. Because of that I use another BHA product, which is essentially what this is: a salicyclic acid treatment just in the form of OTC aspirin. It is to be rinsed off and I find I prefer treatments to be left ON my skin to work effectively.

what in the world IS this?

This works very well for my sensitive, acne-prone combo skin. Dries up blemishes without drying out my skin... I love it.

The mask felt very cool and fresh on my face. I didnt notice any spectacular results tho...and a few days later my face really started to break out...I havent had a
flare-up in years...so I dont know if this was a coincidence or not. I Havent tried it again.
