This works well for me as a preventive measure and for the few outbreaks here and there. I had bad acne, went to a dermatolagist and was prescribed to acutane which cleared my acne up completley. I am now on differin to prevent acne, and its working great!

Struggling with acne since the age of 10, with regular visits to the dermatologist and pharmecy to pick up prescriptions became a way of life for me, and frankly a pain in the butt. I have tried multiple oral medications, topical creams, and diets to improve my acne; including 2 cyles of accutane (which you are allowed 3 in your lifetime). Through all of the years of struggling with nasty acne I have never come across a medicated cream that actually works, except for Differin Cream!!! The only other medication that has worked is Accutane which has some harsh side affects and is VERY pricey. I am currently off all oral medications and Differin has been doing the trick (for a reasonable price). The first couple of weeks I experienced itching, flaking, and redness, but after that you're on your way to clear, beautiful skin. Give it a try!!! What's to loose? Honestly?

I have been using Differin gel for about a week & a half and I can definetly see a difference!! My doctor also perscribed Brevoxyl-4 creamy wash to cleanse my face with. The combo did the trick!! It burned and dryed my skin at first but in about 2 days my skin was use to it. I also discovered that Oil of Olay is the perfect moisterizer to keep your skin from drying out and getting irritated!

I have used Differin for over 4 years and love it. It doesn't irritate my skin at all and seems to work pretty well for the most part. I do have occassional breakouts, but that is the nature of acne, you can never get rid of it with a topical medication. It is also a great exfoliant.

I used differin cream about two years ago. The first couple of months were pretty bad with the breakouts, but after that my skin was completely clear. Recently the acne came back and
now I am starting the process all over again. This time my skin isn't as irritated as before and I plan to stick it out again because it worked well once before.
