| Pros: | Makes skin tone even |
| Cons: | Long term; have not seen results yet after three weeks; mild peeling/redness |
| Bottom Line: | I have tried everything from ProActiv to tetracycline, and have experienced either temporary results or negative results with each product. With oral antibiotics I experienced fungal infections due to lack of internal "good bacteria", and with topical creams I have experienced peeling and redness. I have not seen results with this product, although it has not made my acne worse after three weeks of use. I am currently using Differin in addition to Clindamycin. My skin clears for about two days and then I notice four more cysts forming on my cheekbones. Last year I was more concerned with the cystic and pimple-like acne on my forehead, but switching from Sheer Blonde shampoo to Head & Shoulders (contains Zinc) has fixed that, although I still have hairline breakouts from time to time. I hope this product works, as I plan to stick with it. The side effects (mild redness and peeling) are not as much of a deterrent as people like to say they are. However, it is expensive. |

| Pros: | It seems to be working so far. Makes my skin a nice texture. |
| Cons: | First few weeks suck majorly, you have to keep it up though. My skin was really red and since its summer, I had to be in the sun, so it got really irritated. It got a little worse, but mainly just red and peely. It lasted like a week and a half. |
| Bottom Line: | I think its a good product. I'm using the differin gel .3% and thats it, I wash using Cetaphil. I can't wait to see how it looks in a few more months. I still got period pimples, but they went away in like 3-5 days, so its not bad. Just keep it up and use it every night, DONT use more than a pea size! Most of the people who are saying its bad probably didnt use it right. Do EACTLY as they say and it should be okay.
Oh and its not very expensive at all and you get alot in one tube. But without insurance its too expensive. |

| Pros: | it did say what it was going to do..which was making the acne worse however that was more of a con. |
| Cons: | made acne worse ...but it burned my face and peels and it hurt so bad i couldnt even touch it... also i put it on my chest too...and it made my acne 10X worse...and scared it. |
| Bottom Line: | i had to stop using it for my face because it hurt sooo much. i didnt have severe acne so i guess i could live. as for my chest(i had light acne) i had to stop i couldnt take it gettin more worse day by day...and now its scarred and i had to wear turtle necks for months (and i never even owned any at first ><) but my scars are slowly healing...since i stopped using it...but it initially was the cause of it... i think it might work if i kept on using it but i couldnt...go on...with the 10X worse acne and pain..the thing that got to me was the scarring i seriously never had it so bad in my life.. but who knows if i kept going it might have worked but theres no way im risking that torture again. |

| Pros: | Lightens Scars A LITTLE |
| Cons: | Horrible Scaley Dryness, initial breakout, hard to use a pea sized amount on whole face, burned eyes(contacts), red eyes, epensive, WAY TOO LONGTERM |
| Bottom Line: | I am not patient enough to wait a year just to get the results....id rather use products that work quickly my whole life...I used Aspirin Mask, Proactive, Swimming, Tanning, Hot Tub, and Lemon Juice(drink), a lot for about 2 weeks...it cleared almost all my acne in little time...saw great results instanly. I went to the derm to treat my scars left over and she told me to stop EVERYTHING that I was doing and try Differin...my acne has now come back and i am more pissed then ever.
mabye itl work if i keep using it for months and months but....its not worth it for me GAY |

| Pros: | Cleared my skin better than any other medication has. Completely reduced all redness within about 3-4 days. |
| Cons: | I have very durable skin, that generally never scars or peels, however this has made my skin peel worse than it ever has. Make sure not use chemical sunscreen, but apply moisturizer throughout the day. |
| Bottom Line: | Probably the best thing to use if you has skin that has been resistant to all other over the counter products. I use Benzaclyn (check spelling) during the day, and differin at night, and its worked great for me. I did experience a small breakout when i first started using it, but not nearly as bad as past breakouts I've had without being on any medication. Make sure you only use an extremely small amount (ex. pea size amount on each cheek/forehead) and definitely stay out of the sunlight. So far I'm only a couple of weeks in and my skin has improved dramatically, however I'm guessing from other reviews that this greatly varies from person to person. Check with your doctor to get samples, before filing a prescription (they last a very long time) as if you don't have insurance it's going to be rather expensive. |

| Pros: | did not hurt my skin and cleared a small amount of acne |
| Cons: | it did not clear all of my acne and stopped working at all after about 4 months. Also, even with insurance it was expensive. |
| Bottom Line: | It did not do what I want. I used it for a long time because my dr said that it won't work right away but really after a long time it stopped working at all! there are many times of skin, but for my type it did not work. |
