I used Differin at night with a Cleocin T gel for over a year and a half. My face cleared up quite nicely, although it was dry. I stopped using them for two years. Everything was fine for 18 months -- just an occasional spot. Then, the breakouts began with a vengence. I began using Differin gel at night and Cleocin t Solution in the day about two months ago and the results have been great. If I get a spot, it clears up practically overnight. My skin is nice and smooth and the dark marks are clearing up. I only gave a 3 for affordablity because Differin is quite costly over the counter here. Once I get a US script, it should be cheaper.

I've been on Differin for 4 months and it is working. Just VERY slowly! The Dr. gave me some steriod shots to help speed up the process and my skin has been great ever since. I had cracking around my eyes for the first month, but that has gone away with time. I just wish that it worked faster and without the initial breakout. (It got worse before it got better)

Just 2 weeks ago I started using this product (cream as opposed to gel) and am discouraged about the poor ratings. I am curious as to how long the majority of you used the product. In the first two weeks, my mild acne has become slightly worse, although the spots do seem more superficial and clear quickly. I am using this in combination with the Benzaclin gel. So far, I have not experienced much skin irritation if any. The toughest part at this point is having patience. I hope to return in 6-8 weeks with rave reviews. Obviously many of you are quite frustrated! PS- I am in my late 20s and have never had skin problems until the last year. What a bummer!

I used the Differin Cream right before prom and I have a huge red spot on my face, its ectremly red, scaly and painful. I would not reccomend the Differin cream althought the Differin gel worked well...

Been using differin for about 3 weeks now and haven't really seen that much change in my skin. The texture seems alot smoother though, i guess i'll have to be patient!!

was on it for about a year.
made my face red on contact. sunburnt twice with it... derm kept renewing... stopped using...stopped going to derm. 6 months later my face still red ;_;. i think it made me oily too. not sure. went back to derm. he gave me retin-a. that stuff works great so far. using it for 2 months, no initial breakout. just clearer skin. best results ive had from any product. my redness is actually starting to fade. i think diff makes me more sensitve then retin a...

i have been using it for 3 days now and my brown spots are significanly lighter to my surprise. i have mild acne including small white heads and a few black heads on my forhead and chin and the occasional flare up. The white and black heads are coming to a surface which isn't bad because i wash my face and it washes away leaving no 'holes' which i have heard some people getting (using other topicals). do not use on the sides or corner of nose because it will dry. i use eucerin no soap gel face wash which i HIGHLY reccommend and i also use their moisterizer with spf 15. it is non greaser but really helps dry skin. i swear by that stuff. so far i am happy with differin but like i said, it's only been 3 days. we'll see how it goes. before that i was using benzoyl cream and it cleared up some but not all. btw im 23. The complaints im seeing about differin are from people who are also using other meds at the same time. did you try JUST using differin and no other meds?

I used differin cream for one year and believe that it made no difference whatsoever to my bad acne. I think it actually made my skin more oily than it already was. while on this medication my acne moved from being blackheads and whiteheads to cystic acne. Might be good for people who only have mild acne
