Pros: Made my face soft, and smooth. Cleared up most of my acne fast! Cons: When you first use it you break out more than normal, but that's because it's a retinoid. Didn't get all my acne. If you forget to put it on one day, the next day your face is covered in horrible break-outs. Bottom Line: I started using this February 2009, and my most of my acne is gone. But the dosage is weird. My dermatologist gave me a 0.1 doseage and I used it for about 2 months and it worked great... On my forehead. Then in May I went for a check-up and the doctor gave me a 0.3 dose. My acne was worse on my cheeks and chin and light on my forehead,nose, and upperlip. So the derm. told me to apply the 0.3 dosage on my cheeks and the 0.1 everywhere else. My body is immune to the 0.1 now. I have to use the 0.3 dose all the time, everywhere. Also, when I forget to put Differin on I break out horribly. Worse that I did when I wasn't using the product. Pros: Seemed to dry up my skin. Didn't irritate my skin too bad the first few weeks. Easy to apply. Works well for back and chest area. Cons: Applied it just like it said. Avoiding the eye area. Got my eye brows waxed, and my skin came off with the wax strip. My eye lids were peeled and scraped. My skin is sensitive now too. Bottom Line: It should have said "no waxing" but it didn't. It thins your skin I was told after by the pharmisist. It's a good product to use a few times a week. And it has helped with oiliness. But I am very careful now when using the product. Pros: no smell Cons: has made my skin about 3x worse than before. Bottom Line: i expected an initial breakout, but i've been using this product for 12 weeks and my skin continues to worsen every day. not only do i have more acne than before, my skin is dry, red, flaky, burning... just terrible. Pros: it was working the first week.... Cons: i started to break out and get red spots on my face were the acne used to be...... Bottom Line: well the bottom line is that its sucks and im never gonna go to a derm a again....... pronexin is really good just bought it last week an it works wonders..... i recomenned you guys to buy pronexin....... Pros: lost a little redness Cons: UNCONTROLLABLE BREAKOUTS CLEAR SKIN ONE WEEK, HORRIBLE BREAKOUTS N REDNESS THE NEXT Bottom Line: bad product. started gettin acne last summer. got on differn gel and kept breakingn out. now its scarring and zits got on tazorac now its a little better i guess accutanes the next step :( but differin didnt work after about 8 months... and the derm. just kept saying stick with it, didnt work man! Pros: I used this a few years ago, then didnt refill the bottle until just now (I'm lazy). Last night it cleared up little pimples that Ive had on my chin for months! It's so light and clean feeling. Works fast and effectively Cons: can be pricey but for me its worth it Bottom Line: its worked great for me every time I've used it. Ive tried lots of other acne products that are heavy on the skin and dont feel clean. I dont feel like im doing a disservice to my skin by using this product. It doesnt dry me out or cause any irritation. It isnt effective on all kinds of acne but for all those little annoying bumps that werent quite pimples but werent going away it worked wonders. Pros: its really light and easy to use. Cons: its dries out your face after a few minutes but if you just use some deep eucerin cream then youll be fine Bottom Line: It definately works for me, I have been using it with benzamycin and it has cleared up my skin maginificatly. best thing i have ever used. Pros: After seeing a dermatologist I am using differin along with Lymecycline (capsule) and my skin has already lost a lot of redness and reduced the spots. It initially flared up, but after that, I could see a small improvement every day. FREE with NHS Cons: Made my skin quite dry and flaky, but used a moisturiser which helped.
