I just started using it & i didnt have bad acne at all now i have more pimples than i ever have in my whole life ughhhhhhhh :(

I just got this stuff from my dermatologist. I have had acne for what seems like forever and the only thing that really seemed to help is Proactiv. Although, it hasn't left me acne free all the time, most of the time, my face is fairly clear. Right now, it is fairly clear but I have one large bump on the side of my forehead. I went to visit my dermatologist to get a mole removed and he noticed the bump and decided he would treat my acne. I told him that I use proactiv and he suggested that I continue to use it and to use the differin at night. Last night was the first night and it has already made my face too oily. It also feels tight and dry. After reading all of these reviews, I decided that it is not worth going through all these problems just because I get a bump every now and then. I got off of proactiv about 2 years ago and tried what a dermatologist had recommended and it made my face worse. I decided to give that up and go back to proactiv and I saw results immediately. So I think that I will not make the same mistake that I made 2 years ago and just stick with what has worked for me. Thanks all for the input, it was really helpful.

After trying everything on the market, my last two options were Accutane or Differin. I chose Differin. I've been using it for about a month and I can actually see the pores on my face getting smaller. I've had a few breakout but they are gone within a day. I am so happy I gave Differin a try before resulting to Accutane. It's still very early in my treatment but I plan to stick with this because it works.....for now.

I've been using Differin Gel for over a month and it helps with my little bumps on my forehead. However, it makes me unbelievably oily. I'm already oily to begin with, but the Differin makes my oil pour out much faster. Overall though I'm quite satisfied so far with how it helps with my acne. I also have never experienced the initial breakout that everyone talks about, which is a plus! I'm looking forward to much more success with this product the longer i'm on it. I will write another review after i've been on it for longer. I hope others see great results!

When I first started using Differin (about two years ago), I HATED it. I was so frustrated because my skin was breaking out worse than EVER! (And this was at 25 years of age!) But everything I kept reading was telling me to stick it out - that it gets worse before it gets better. And that is the TRUTH! I have had acne since I was 12 years old and have tried everything (including Accutane). Differin is the only thing that has cleared up my skin - and cleared it up for GOOD!! It took a few months for me to really start noticing improvements in my skin.The reason it gets worse before it gets better is that it goes really deep and pushes out all of the impurities that are under your skin. It really does work. I promise! You just have to stick it out! I have had to go off of it this month because I'm trying to get pregnant. I'm concerned about how my face will get when I'm not using differin. My doctor has prescribed me another topical which is safe to take during pregnancy. I hope and pray it works as well. Good luck to all of you out there. I know how frustrating it can be! But seriously - stick it out with this one. It's worth it in the LONG RUN!!

I've just started the Differin regimen - my dermatologist concurrently prescribed DUAC gel to be used in the morning. I am still using the sample tubes that my dermatologist provided for me, but I have already noticed a difference. It's hard to tell which product, if any, deserves more credit, but the bottom line is I'm making progress. I am experiencing quite a bit of flaking, redness, and burning, but I am hoping that this reaction will last only until my skin gets used to the medication.

I have been taking Differin for about two months now and my acne is worse than it was originally! I get cystic acne on areas that I have never broken out on before. My skin is also very oily. It seems as though certain spots keep coming up to the surface after they go away. I think I'll wait it out for a couple more months and if it doesn't improve I'll try something else.

I have been using Differin along with an oral antibiotic for a little over 3 months. I was VERY frustrated the first 2 months because there was no differnece in my skin. Recently, people have started to comment on how good my skin looks and there have been no new break outs. If you are new to Differin, give it a few months before you bail. Hopefully it will be worth it.

people who have been using Differin for years, does it help with wrinkles? i've read the info and it's anti-aging because it's a retinoid! if you have been using it for a long time, as in years, do you look younger than everyone around you? i am very hopeful that after using this for years and years i will have super skin! i have been using it for a couple weeks and am still in the bad breakout phase, but it's not too bad!

when i used differin for the first few weeks, it was horrible.i had a major breakout that i never had before.it was traumatising but after the 4th week,improvement could be seen. my pimples flatten and its starting to clear up though its still red. its my 10th week now,i am pressing on with the product,will be back to rate this product in a few weeks time.
