Adapalene (Differin) Reviews

Been on Differin for 4 weeks and I've never had such bad skin, I'm debating whether to give in another week or just stop now and hope that the Dianette I've been on for a week kicks in soon.

On the plus side (the reason I gave it 2) is that it cleared my back and chest within 3 weeks. Couple of spots on back but nothing too bad.

I have been using Diffren for almost 2 months and my acne is worse then ever. I am constantly breaking out in areas that I never did before. I don't think the doctor reolizes how hard it is to "just get through the first few weeks".

I have been using Differin for just over 7 weeks now and I have seen no improvement what so ever. My skin is worse then when I started. I don't recommend this product to anyone.

it worked miracles for me from like weeks 1-3 then i broke out really bad. but the few first weeks my face was like crystal clear and i didnt even wear make up every one was complimenting. anyways so i am now on accutane cuz then all the sudden i had horribble breakout. i have been on accutane for one month now and at first i kept getting lots of breakouts and i am starting to see the breakouts stop atleast and some acne is going away. but it does make the zits more red, so i get spray tans and i can swim in florida now without worrying about red bumps on my face. by the way my acne is moderate and i do not have any cysts this is just a last resorts for perfect skin, so i dont know your experience will be breakouts for the first two months and worse breakouts than me if your acne is more severe, just hang in there cuz it all pays off after about 4-6 months!

I have rosy cheeks and I went to a dermotologist about them. I dont have acne or pimples. She perscribed me differin but I am affrid of the side affects. what do you guys think? do you think I will still get the itchyness or redness if I use it? do you think it could help my face?

Been using Differin for about 4 months, and I think that my skin looks worse overall. For the fisrt several weeks it looked TERRIBLE--I had all of these little red bumps everywhere. It has gotten a little better this past month, but no better than before I started. My wrinkles look a little better, though, but maybe it's because the acne now hides them :)

Great to start with latter in the years can move up to Retina-A micro

I have been using this product for 3 years and love it. I had to go off of it recently becauseI am now pregnant and my face started to break out. Can't wait to start using it again :)

I went on Differin about 5 months now and my skin looks great .. i have abosolutely no break outs. I have been taking a tetricycline with differin as well which i think has done a great job as well. For the first few months of using the product my face was horrible. I broke out a lot and was getting frustrated with it, but i kept with it and now my face looks great.

I don't understand the point of Differin. My dermatologist warned me "it might be really drying at first, but stick with it because the peeling will stop and your acne will clear after constant appliance every night." Yeah right! I followed his instructions exactly and "put a thin layer all over your face, at night, after its been washed". Every day I would wake up with the greasiest face ever and not a sign of dryness or peeling. Not only that but it definitly made the acne worse. Eww it was so greasy.
Anyway, I went back to Proactiv, which doesn't "100% guarantee clear skin" but it helps far better than Differin did and actually dries the skin to get rid of acne.
