At first Differin worked wonders! My skin cleared up after a month of using it. It's been 8 months now and for the last 3 months my acne came back. I have mainly whiteheads and small bumps on my forehead. My doctor gave me everything even Accutane but the stubborn things still came back. Differin is really expensive though... either that or I need better insurance!

It works! My blackheads are all gone and my skin is not red and spotty anymore. It took 3 weeks before I could see the results. But remember to stay out of the sun, it really is the worse thing to do when using differin.

My doc put me on differin wen i woz 11 and this thing we hav in oz called Eryacne, and my skin gradually got better. After using it 4 8 weeks, my skin woz completely clear! YAY! but then we couldnt afford 2 renew the prescription, and then we moved house away from the chemist, so my skin is back 2 its grotty old self! ( well grotty compared 2 other 13 year olds) im now using the clear skin regimn and hav noticed a tinsy improvment, but then ive only been using it a week. i recommend differin 2 ne young ppl with mild/moderate acne. it didnt make me flaky.

I used differin for a while on the advice of a dermatologist who said that it would take a while to take effect and I should persevere. However, it was not the right product for me and only caused my skin to become itchy and red- without clearing up my spots! The dermatologist then gave me isotrexin gel which worked much better, so if differin doesnt work for you (although im sure it does for some) perhaps isotrexin is worth a try.

I was on Differin alone for about 10 months and it kept my acne pretty much under control the whole time. I never had an initial breakout, my acne just contiually got better, then just stopped getting better at about 90-95% clear. It's very expensive and caused flushing so I quit using it. I think it's definetly a winner though.

I was on differin for about 6 months in combination with clindamycin. It was the worst decision i had made in treating my acne. I used to only have a couple whiteheads before i went on differin, but within my first week, i had three times as much acne. Not only did I not see any results, but my acne became worse.
I wish i had been properly informed before i went of differin. If your derm. tells you that they are prescribing differin, ask for an alternative.
differin really sucks, end of story.

I've been using differin for about 2 years. The first month, my skin was really red and irritated from using it. I broke out a lot. But after that, the irritation went away as well as the redness. Then my face started clearing up. I was able to go out without having to wear foundation because my skin was clear. People that haven't seen me in a long time would always comment on how great my skin looks when they saw me.
Cons: My skin became sensitive. Too much time in the sun makes the skin on my face burn, itch, or get red.
So if I'm going to be outside at the beach or playing basketball, I should wear a hat/visor.
I also wear sunscreen everyday on my face, which is something everyone should be doing anyways... helps protect against skin cancer and wrinkles.
Pros: Clear Skin...how great is that? Also, this medicine does not make my skin peel...so my skin looks smooth as well. Although Differin is about $100, the tube lasted me at least year long...so that is not that bad.
Tip: Find a good exfoliator, that helps as well. For a low priced one, I use St. Ives medicated scrub.
Try not to touch your face. Keep your pillow case washed regularly.

Differin is the worst product in the world. I hate it!!!! Please, be careful with this product.
During two weeks killed my face, it destroyed me . It infected me. I hate it. I know a person that she was using this product during one month and she was infected and now she has to take roacuttan
I´m taking a strong medicine in order to finish the infection.

I saw no difference... paid $100 for a tube of Differin and didn't get .50 worth of results. :(
