My derm recommended me to use Differin gel, along with antibiotics. I've been using it for 6 days. Differin in the nights and antibiotics every 12 hours. My acne got worst, which means it's working and it's cleaning everything from underneath my skin. I have irritation and peeling, but Differin is suposed to give good results after 8 weeks, so I'll keep using it and hopefully I'll lose those red things.

My doctor Dr. Walsh gave differin after i showed her why i needed it and told me that I needed to use it for a couple of months. After a month my skin was worse than better. Afterwards I used Exposed skin care and it worked perfectly after 1 month.

I have been using differin for about 3 weeks and my acne is SOOO BAD. It is mostly on my chin, but i have never had the kind of zits that are deep and under the skin and really painful, which i now have all over my chin. IS THIS NORMAL?? Will it clear up or should I stop using the cream???? SOMEONE PLEASE HELP. I AM GOING CRAZY. I am so self concious and I hate my skin and this really sucks. hellllllpppppppp........

i started using differin when i had just recently got acne, i was using it for a long time, i even emptied the hole bottle thing, but it didnt help me, my acne got worse but like it didnt get better after, so i used another cream called clindoxyl gel and that worked like wonders! it didnt get worse it just got better right away!

I'm truly hoping that this product will be the last acne treatment I ever use for the rest of my life. I only started using Differin 4 days ago and I am also taking oral antibiotics morning and night. I've noticed that it has worsened my acne on my forhead and chin, but after going onto [link removed] this is a sure sign of it working! I'm nearly 16 and I've been suffering from acne for over 4 years now, though I have never gotten acne this bad in my life, my face consisting of whiteheads, pimples, cystic nodules, pustules, and quite frankly I'm sick of being so shy to go out, or even too insecure to look my best friend in the eye. I have tried every songle type of acne treatment there is to try, but I suppose that my acne was much too severe for simple over-the-counter products to work on my skin. I seriously hope that this product will change the way I look, by treating all my acne once and for all!!! Wish me luck!

i have been on differin for about two months now..... the doctor told me to expect worse before better. which it has gotton worse (right now its the worst i have EVER seen it) and accepting that was very hard for me. i went back to my doctor and she said only a few more weeks of it being "bad". she told me that the differin is pulling up all the oils and stuff that were underneath just waiting to come out. i believe that with acne you just have to have faith that it will get better. b/c dwelling on it just makes it worse.... differin does take a while to work tho.

I am using Differin gel in conjunction with Duac gel. Differin has made my skin MUCH worse.......i.e. cystic acne-which I have never had until now. It has only been 3/4 weeks, but I can't stand my skin like this.....it is disgusting, I feel like crying all the time. However, the horrible zits that Differin has caused are quickly healed with Duac-a drug I have use before, which has NEVER caused breakouts etc. I am going to use it for a couple more weeks to see if my skin condition gets any better.......which, hopefully, it will. As of now, however, this is a product I would NOT recommend unless you are a very patient, strong person who does not mind your skin condition becoming worse (MUCH WORSE) before getting better. Duac, on the other hand, I would highly recommend.

Maybe I wasn't using Differin right because it did not help my skin out significantly.
I have moderate to severe acne no my cheeks and chin. I didn't want Accutane because I heard it causes deformities and can give you suicidal thoughts (I hate my acne but it ain't work all of those side effects to clear it up)! I've tried Retin-A in the past, it was just ok. I didn't have those dry, red spots nor did my face break out a lot but it still didn't do any significant repair.
The Dermatologist wanted me to try Differin this time. Ok, so I get it. To my dismay it is NOT on my formulary list for prescription drugs so I had to pay full price >:(
I get the stuff and in conjuction with my daily regimen I thought it would work out. WRONG. Oh, it didn't burn or peel or anything like that but it just didn't do anything for me. I was highly disappointed.
I am now trying this Acne-Free stuff (it's like ProActiv) and we'll see how this works out. If it doesn't work...I'm through. The pimples and black heads can just consume my entire face because I will not be spending on more dime on Dermatologists, expensive washes/toners/moisturizers, etc. I am totally through. I am in my 30s and dang it, I've literally spent THOUSANDS to clear this crap up and control it so if this won't work, I AM FOR REAL DONE!

Differin worked well for me for the first couple months. My skin cleared up dramatically. But then I was off of of it for about couple weeks, my face flared up, so I went back on Differin...but I guess my skin became immune to it because after going back on Differin for couple months...I saw no results.
