Pros: Works great for mu acne. The zits dry up faster and dont leave black scars like benzoyle peroxide. Pros: Lightens Scars A LITTLE Cons: Horrible Scaley Dryness, initial breakout, hard to use a pea sized amount on whole face, burned eyes(contacts), red eyes, epensive, WAY TOO LONGTERM Bottom Line: I am not patient enough to wait a year just to get the results....id rather use products that work quickly my whole life...I used Aspirin Mask, Proactive, Swimming, Tanning, Hot Tub, and Lemon Juice(drink), a lot for about 2 weeks...it cleared almost all my acne in little time...saw great results instanly. I went to the derm to treat my scars left over and she told me to stop EVERYTHING that I was doing and try Differin...my acne has now come back and i am more pissed then ever. mabye itl work if i keep using it for months and months but....its not worth it for me GAY Recommended: No Usage: J has used this item for about a week. Pros: Cleared my skin better than any other medication has. Completely reduced all redness within about 3-4 days. Cons: I have very durable skin, that generally never scars or peels, however this has made my skin peel worse than it ever has. Make sure not use chemical sunscreen, but apply moisturizer throughout the day. Bottom Line: Probably the best thing to use if you has skin that has been resistant to all other over the counter products. I use Benzaclyn (check spelling) during the day, and differin at night, and its worked great for me. I did experience a small breakout when i first started using it, but not nearly as bad as past breakouts I've had without being on any medication. Make sure you only use an extremely small amount (ex. pea size amount on each cheek/forehead) and definitely stay out of the sunlight. So far I'm only a couple of weeks in and my skin has improved dramatically, however I'm guessing from other reviews that this greatly varies from person to person. Check with your doctor to get samples, before filing a prescription (they last a very long time) as if you don't have insurance it's going to be rather expensive. Pros: did not hurt my skin and cleared a small amount of acne Cons: it did not clear all of my acne and stopped working at all after about 4 months. Also, even with insurance it was expensive. Bottom Line: It did not do what I want. I used it for a long time because my dr said that it won't work right away but really after a long time it stopped working at all! there are many times of skin, but for my type it did not work. Pros: it works! Cons: took time to work..... got worse before it got better Bottom Line: my doctor prescribed differin, soldyn, and a benzoyl peroxide wash to clear my mild to moderate acne. during the first two weeks it worked really well with clearing up the pimples that i already had and prevented new ones from forming. However on the third week things took a turn for the worst, my face developed HUGE cysts that i never had before. to be fair, i had grown lax with the treatment b/c it had worked so well in the begining. however, i began using it religiously for the next few weeks and i am happy with the results. however my doc took me off the differin cream and put me on the gel... its stronger so i cant wait to see the results!! Pros: clears acne as well as scars..caused by acne gives skin a rejuvinated look. Cons: none....dry a little al'though Bottom Line: go for it.its the best medicine...for acne..better than banzoyl peroxide(i have been using it before adapalene)....works gr8 in combination with adapalene..use a good sunscreen.for better results.causes break out.of acne at the begining.but heals thereafter Recommended: Yes Usage: Mayank malra has used this item for a few weeks. Pros: works quickly on acne, quells early breakouts Cons: dries my skin out. Burnt the heck out of my face at first--it looked like I was sunburned. Have to use extra moisturizer. Bottom Line: It works, but side effects can be nasty. I mean seriously, I look like I've been in the sun for three days straight and I live in Hawaii. So apply sparingly, and use a good moisturizer. Pros: It doesn't burn and it seems to be working. Cons: None so far. Bottom Line: I used clyndamycin for a few months in the morning, just to clear up any 'infection', according to the doctor. My skin seemed to get worse, then I added Differin gel in the evenings (mild version). After only a few days I can already see a difference. A lot of the redness has gone and the bumps have gone down on my forehead. (usually I have redness and small bumps on my cheeks, chin and forehead all the time, but no cysts). As for cost, it seems that this product is MUCH more expensive in the US. Before insurance in Canada it was around $47, and I ended up paying $14.
