I have been using Differin for about a year now. I have tried so many other prescription products and they all failed. I am amazed and satisfied with Differin and what it does for my skin. The initial breakout is horrible but after a few months your skin will clear up. Even if you start to get a zit or two within a day or so it is dried up. I call Differin "poor man's Accutane". Differin is expensive if you don't have insurance coverage but since you use it sparingly it will last a long time. I use it every other day or less now and my skin is much more beautiful.

I'm now 28 yrs old and i've had acne problems since i was 13. I used almost everything that you can think of except accutane. I just started to use the Differin at night along with clindoxyl gel in the morning. I started this about a month and a half ago and my face is the worse it has ever been. I've used clindoxyl gel before and it worked well so i'm guessing the differin is what is making my face look so bad. The differin however is not irritating my skin at all so that is good. I think that i just need to do some more research on differin, to see if the acne gets worse before it gets better.

been using it for about 2-3weeks, gonna go back to the doctors tomorrow. it makes my skin sore and flaky and hasn't got rid of my acne so far, but hey, it says wait 3-4weeks for it to take effect but if it gets worse and then doesn't work, thats not a risk i'm willing to take!

I used Differin about 8 years ago. It was greasyish on my
skin and at the time there were no sunscreens out that didn't make me break out, so I ignored the "don't wear it outside without sunscreen" warnings and I am still trying to get rid of the permanent brown blotches that resulted from it.

I am very taken back by how many people downrated this product because it is the ONLY product that has worked for me. I had mild acne in high school, but benzyl perioxide cleared it up. However, in my 20s I experienced moderate/severe acne. I tried proactiv, benzyl peroxide, and retin A in every concentration. The combination of Differin and Clindamycin Phosphate has really done it for me. Not only is my face clear, all those clogged pores and blackheads from my cheeks are gone. At first differin will open up your pores and turn your face red, but give it 2 weeks, and you will see results. It works like Retin A, but much less irritating to the skin. Try this product if you have moderate acne before taking oral medication, which is not great for your health.

Pretty much useless. Make skin dry and scaly. Not recommended.

My skin is sensitive so it took me some time to tolerate it. However, once I did, it worked wonders. I think it is better suited for me personally in the summer provided I wear unblock as well. In the winter it might be too drying and peel off too much. It is either that or after a year, my skin has built tolerance to it. I am switching away from it and will probably return in a few months.
