| Pros: | None |
| Cons: | same sh*t |
| Bottom Line: | I’m starting to think that there is no such thing as an acne treatment. I have tried everything and nothing works. Most acne “Treatments” are commercial shills, thought up by evil f**k bag salesman, that don’t have a clue what we’re going through. They don’t understand how much acne hurts our mental state. They don’t care what we feel, they’re in it for the money and that’s it. The only thing I recommend is, stop eating sugar and dairy products. That helped me. |

| Pros: | Free from doctor. No side effects. Not overly drying. Has not worsened my acne, overall skin is clearing gradually. Have been some periods completely clear, right now I still have some spots though. |
| Cons: | Not as fast as I would like, I still have acne after 2 months, it seems to be the same, although I feel that if I hadn't have taken this my acne would have worsened. |
| Bottom Line: | My mind isn't made yet. I'll give it a couple more months, but I am pretty sure this isn't going to be the cream where I say <There. That's what cleared me>. You know? |

| Pros: | Didn't pay anything for it, large tube lasted a while so didn't have to keep going back for more. |
| Cons: | Does little or nothing for stubborn spots. If used too generously can sting a lot, incredibly dry skin. |
| Bottom Line: | Didn't do anything worthwhile for my acne. I've tried a lot of products over this years but this might just top the most useless charts. Prescribed by the doctor a few weeks ago but hasn't improved the situation under any circumstance. I will stick to the benozyl peroxide as that is faaaaar better! |

| Pros: | Definitely works. No irritation on my highly sensitive skin (no stinging or redness, yessss!) Easy to use, quick drying |
| Cons: | Initial breakout :( |
| Bottom Line: | I'm 24 years old and had used Differin for about nine years Over the summer I moved into a new place and lost the tube in the shuffle. My skin had been looking great for a while (like, years), so I decided I was over having to do this kind of stuff and didn't bother getting a refill.
Bad idea.
At first I was fine, but after a few months I started breaking out like crazy, and my pores were more clogged than I had ever seen them in my entire existence. I freaked out. I hadn't realized that my skin looked so good for so long because I had stuck with the meds, and not because I was older.
So, I started the Differin again about a month ago. Initial breakout was bad for me in relation to what I was used to. I got at least 2 new pimples a week, but they weren't big and painful and they don't last. It's just clearing out old stuff in the pores.
This stuff works, but don't expect to see perfect skin overnight. Stick with it, and you'll be glad you did (& the tube las |

| Pros: | Made my skin soft and spot free temporarily |
| Cons: | I suffered a similar reaction to above at first try, my eyes were swollen, my skin was puffy and my red. Burning painful and dry. I had used it inconjunction with benzoyl per. I stopped using the two together and on its own it was quite good. |
| Bottom Line: | Definitely worth looking into skin sensitivity and your skin type before hand. |

| Pros: | Does clear up acne, but extremely slowly, must be patient |
| Cons: | Dries out skin (gone in 2 weeks) Sunburning is easy |
| Bottom Line: | From my personal experience with moderate acne, I am going to say differin does work to some extent, once the one month initial breakout has finished its all downhill and you will start to see results. If you have mild acne, differin is right for you.
If you have more severe acne, try asking your doc or derm about Minocycline or Accutane.
I have been using differin for 7 weeks now, Minocycline for almost a month, and i use Benzoyl Peroxide 5% wash once in the morn and once at night to clear clogged pores. Its working really well. |

| Pros: | Smooth skin, reduces breakouts, gets rid of blackheads!! |
| Cons: | Dried out my skin INITIALLY |
| Bottom Line: | It works! I was prescribed Differin by my gyno to treat cystic acne on my chin. This is the regimen she prescribed for me... Differin at night and benzoyl peroxide in the morning followed by a moisturizer. She warned me that it would take 3 months to work and that I might experience dryness and peeling. I followed this regimen religiously...it has now been 2 months and here's my verdict so far. My skin was very flaky initially and I would break out every day for a month but these pimples were nothing like those horrible, deep cysts I used to get before. They weren't deep at all and would fade very quickly. The moisturizer really helped quench my skin and the benzoyl peroxide helped dry the breakouts. During the second month my skin adjusted and is totally flake free. I also stopped breaking out. What's happening now is that all the remaining deep rooted cysts are coming to the surface but Im not getting any new cysts! Don't try this unless you're willing to stick it out to the end! |
