| Pros: | Clears up SOME of your breakouts. Will dry out pimples, making them disappear faster than they normally would with just washing your face. |
| Cons: | SUPER and embarrassing dry, flaky skin ALL the time. Moisturizer is a must. Extremely expensive without insurance. |
| Bottom Line: | This stuff sort of works. True, it has helped my acne, but I still have blackheads and battle breakouts. Plus it is embarrassing when you have flaky skin all the time. I wash my face once in the morning and once at night and moisturize every morning with a spf moisturizer. I take care of my skin, but still i have to deal with acne. It definitely doesn't cure it.. but it helps a little bit. It would be nice to have something that worked better.. I hate having skin that is flakier than a pillsbury dough boy biscuit. I hope you've got a good moisturizer. |

| Pros: | - It helped my acnee for a few years - You can wear makeup over it |
| Cons: | - It stopped working after a few years... - expensive if you dont have insurance |
| Bottom Line: | My dermatologist prescribed this to me a few years ago, first in combination with Ducray Keracnyl cream, then 3 years later in combination with Clyndoxyl gel. My acnee was somewhat controlled while I was using it (especially after using it with Clyndoxyl) but it never completely cleared up my acnee. I still had black heads on my nose and new breakouts everyweek. Still had red marks. But with a bit of makeup my skin looked nice. |

| Pros: | Clear up my skin from cysts, no itching, no peeling, |
| Cons: | I wish it could also help with acne scars, a bit sticky (gel) |
| Bottom Line: | Differin is a very good product. I've used other topical solutions before but to no avail. However, it does took a while to be effective. One thing to note is don't use Differin in the day. It should be used at NIGHT ONLY, since exposure to excessive sunlight or UV radiation (incl. Sunlamps) should be avoided during treatment, as it might enhance the dev. of skin cancer caused by UV light. Please do take caution and read the leaflet thoroughly. If you need to use moisturizers, please avoid the oil-based ones as it can caused further irritation. If these are followed through, then it should work for you. |

| Pros: | Works well, no stinging or itching, didn't irritate my skin too badly |
| Cons: | Some peeling of the skin in first days of use (quickly corrected with a gentle exfoliation method and SPF cream) |
| Bottom Line: | After about 13 years of dealing with moderate acne which hasn't responded to any type of skin care regiment, diet change, or oral medication, I was fed up. For so many years I thought that I was doing someting wrong. I have been using the Differin cream, which is for more sensitive skin, for about three weeks. My complexion is at it's clearest, although not completely. The tone of my skin is more even, the red is almost gone. I cannot believe the change I am seeing! In combination with this medication it is essential to encorporate some type of gentle exfoliating method as well as an SPF cream. This will minimize the amount of peeling and skin irritation. This medication actually recommends the use of SPF. |

| Pros: | Cleared up my skin fast (together with Benzaclin). Didnt breakout my skin like most people say. |
| Cons: | A little redness and dryness. |
| Bottom Line: | I use Differin in the morning and Benzaclin at night. Together they work great. Don't really know if used alone, it would provide the same results. I also use DML Lotion (not the moisturizer) to help with the dryness. After one and 1/2 weeks my skin is completely clear. It works! |

| Pros: | Has stopped major breakouts, and acne I do get clears up a lot quicker. |
| Cons: | Is a bit pricey (I paid $35) but I use only a very small amount each day, so I think it will last a while. Dried my skin, but was able to balance the moisture in my skin with sorbelene cream. |
| Bottom Line: | Has been great, no longer gettin the large sore pimples I used to get. If I don't apply it everyday I do get small breakouts, but nothing like what I had. I still get blackheads, but I am just pleased that my skin has cleared. My skin did get worse before it got better with this product, but after a few weeks, it really made a difference. Moisturiser is essential when using this though. |

| Pros: | It works! |
| Cons: | I have insurance but it is expensive if you don't have it. Can dry out your skin. |
| Bottom Line: | I have never had horrible acne but have been cursed with the always persistant "small bumps" on my forhead, blackheads around my t-zone, and minor breakouts around my jaw line. I am 25 and was fed up with not having a better complexion. I went to a Derm and she put me on differin 0.1 and an the antibiotic Doxycycline. I have only been on both for a little less than two weeks and I can already see a big improvement. I haven't got any breakouts and my bumps have decreased significantly. The derm wanted to see me again in a month and hopefully take me off the antibiotics and up the differin to the 0.3. I was lucky enough to not have any purging or severe dryness so I am truly happy. I have read that to see the true results will take a month or so - and I am anxiously waiting to see how much better my skin can get. |

| Pros: | The first few days it cleared my acne |
| Cons: | It was painful. The stings and the tearing skin. My skin got so dry that it started to crack and bleed. it was very difficult to sit still in class. I ended up having to rush to the hospital because the stigns were horrible. it didnt get better at al |
| Bottom Line: | Don't use this product. It does everything except clear your acne. I couldn't find nay moisturizer to calm the pain. It leaves red, blochy spots of dry skin on your face and it burns to flash your face with just water. I couldn't even take a shower for a few days. My dermetologist prescribed it, but it didn't do anything for me. I payed $123.00 for this product and I ended up having to pay $600.oo for the trip to the hospital and gettin medication to treat my pains. |
