Pros Reduced blackheads?
Cons Made my skin feel weird--probably dry
Bottom line I got this at Costco, thinking why not. I should say that I've only used it 3 times, but those 3 times were enough for me to not want to use it anymore.

I have fair skin, so I did one application, at night. Things were okay. No acne reduction (I had 2 cysts calming down and another just starting to flare), but maybe some blackhead reduction. I thought that maybe I could up the doseage to twice a day, as is recommended. I used it the next morning and evening, and noticed that the texture of my skin felt different. Before, the spots on my face that didn't have acne felt like the rest of me. Now it felt rough. And my cheeks were...shall we say, "rosy," which had never happened before (I don't really have sensitive skin). I've been off it a couple days now, but my skin still doesn't feel normal.

This might work best on people who have acne all over your face, instead of in just one area. It didn't do much for me.

Pros cleared up my acne!!!
Cons made my face really dry in the beginning but that is all gone now!
Bottom line I have just been using the facial wash in this kit and the AcneFree terminator and pretty much all my acne is gone in three weeks! For me this a miracle! My face was horrible all summer but now I have smooth clear skin for college! I love my skin now and I can be around my boyfriend without make-up on and that's a great feeling! Try this! It worked for me :)

Pros cheaper than Pro Activ

doesn't bleach out faceclothes like Pro Activ
Cons Can't find it in Canada

slow results
Bottom line I was a die-hard Pro Activ user for years then it stopped working. I never had acne as a teen, my acne started when I approached 30! Here I am creeping up on 40 and dealing with acne - ug! Bought this while visiting the U.S. once and noticed an improvement, but had to stop using it because I can't find it here. Going to the U.S. next week and hope to stock up.

My son who is 11 is struggling with pretty severe acne already, tried Cetaphyl but no luck. I think I might get him to try this product. Anyone know if it is ok for kids his age?

Pros Like Proactiv, but cheap.
Cons Irritates the skin and simply doesn't work.
Bottom line It is AWFUL. I used the stuff ONE time and it turned my skin red. I looked like a had a sunburn. Then I used the toner, thinking it might cool my skin down some, and it burned. I came back to look in the mirror five minutes later and my skin was peeling. I don't even have sensitive skin. I usually use a Clean & Clear face wash, Stridex pads, and an Olay face lotion. If my face can handle mixing products, it should be able to handle this one product. DO NOT BUY THIS. It does not work and it with make your face worse off.

Pros it helped some bad acne I had in the beginning. it wasn't too expensive.
Cons it made my skin very dry, irritated and red. It didn't really prevent any acne, but actually made it worse.
Bottom line Don't use this product if your skin is sensitive. The toner burned like hell and the cream had too much BP in it, therefore causing my irritation. The cleanser made my skin dry.
It may help people with less sensitive skin though, as it worked wonderfully for my friend.

Pros Very close replacement to Proactiv, but cheaper and available in drugstores.
Cons Unable to buy each step individually (except I think for the cleanser.
Scrubbing beads were different in the first step.
I had the same problem wtih this product as I did with Proactiv - seemed to actually make my acne worse due to overdrying, plus the aggravation of eczema on my hands from handling the product.
Bottom line If proactiv works for you, give this a try, otherwise don't bother.

Pros - Good value.
- Easy to find in stores.
- Clears moderate/mild acne.
- Better than proactive.
Cons - None really other than it only worked temporarily (personally) which is a problem I have with my acne, its stubborn.
Bottom line I bought this kit for about 4 months and used it religiously. It was suggested to me by a cosmetics associate in CVS pharmacy.

I gave it a shot since I didnt have much to lose. It worked well for the first couple of months, and when I gave a review on their website, they sent me a free full sized kit as a gift! Which I enjoyed.

Unfortunately, my acne came back eventually since its stubborn. Overall, I was really surprised by the results. It claims it is better than proactive, and it its true. I would suggest this to people who have less stubborn mild/moderate acne. It's a good regimen
