| Pros | Stops your skin from getting new pimples (mostly). Doesn't dry out face too much. Not expensive at all. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Doesn't actually rid my face of the pimples, only keeps me from getting more. |
| Bottom line | I used the clear formula of AcneFree, in the tube, and have tried the 3-step AcneFree products, but they have not worked for me. The clear one may work for some people, and also the 3-step one may work for some people, but these did NOT work for me. I first used the AcneFree Severe 3-step formula for a few months, and it just made my face more oily, and I kept breaking out (the pimples weren't going away!). Then I switched to the "new clear formula", and have been using it for about a year.. It does not get rid of my acne, but the only reason I'm still using it, is because if I go off of it, I know I will break out. Plus, it does nothing to help get rid of the oil on my skin, and my skin is really oily. I use it twice a day, once in the morning, once at night, and I'm very strict about staying on a routine with whatever products I use. My face doesn't have a problem with being too dry, so strong or harsh products are not a no-no for me. All in all, I would not recommend this product to someone with oily skin, as it won't rid your face of the oil. In fact, when I wake up, my skin is so oily that I have to get a paper towel and rub it. I don't know if it's just me, but.. I suppose this product is worth a try, since it is not costly, like many acne treatments. |

| Pros | No more breakouts Clears red marks from previous pimples Cheap Has worked for me the last 6 years |
|---|---|
| Cons | Skin will burn easily in the sun Bleaches your washcloth |
| Bottom line | I tried a few products in middle school on my moderate acne, but they never really worked. In 8th grade I found AcneFree and it has worked ever since. I am now a sophmore in college and have switched from the three step program to just using the first step, the cleanser, once a day. I just get a few random pimples every now and again. It did take about a month before my skin got used to it and the medication started to show strong results. A few months later all of the red marks from my previous acne were gone. Since I started using it, my friends have always complemented me on my clear complexion. I don't think it will work for all skin types but it did work for me. I have mildly oily skin. I do have to make sure I wear sunscreen when I'm outside because the benzoyl peroxide makes skin very sensitive to the sun and burns easily. It has also bleached a few washclothes, which I have designated as my face washing washclothes now. I would recomend this product to anyone, but make sure you try it for at least 3 months before you give up on it. If it iritates your skin, just use step 1 (especially cut out the toner) and use it once a day or every other day. |

| Pros | worked for a couple of days |
|---|---|
| Cons | dries up skin irritates the skin |
| Bottom line | I used this product for 4 days and had to quit due to skin irritation. As others have stated, it dried out my skin and it feels as if I have a rash on my face. I used proactiv and I never had a problem with it. I wouldn't recommend this product to anybody. |

| Pros | Price Smooth skin |
|---|---|
| Cons | Dry skin patches---use a SPF moisturizer will counteract that problem |
| Bottom line | I have used for 7 days and this product is great and I have mild to moderate acne. I saw dramatic results in three days! I'm a former user of ProActiv, which is more expensive and harsher on the skin. Acne Free works and makes your skin smoother than Proactiv. Definetly, use a SPF moisturizer after the 3 step process and you will not experience dry skin. |

| Pros | Reduced acne Cheap |
|---|---|
| Cons | Dried skin Didn't clear completely |
| Bottom line | While this stuff worked better than most products it still didn't work great. If you have mild acne or possibly moderate it might work but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. |

| Cons | Everything |
| Bottom line | My skin type; Fair, Oily expecially around t-zone. This system worked the first week because I major acne on my fourhead before school started. Within 3 days it was gone. After the first week of using the product it stopped working. It dried my face out horribly. It looked as if I had a sunburn look and feel to it due to irritation. The funny thing is my skin isn't so sensitive until I began using this. Now it has been sensitive since! WASTE OF MONEY. I'm not saying I'm not going to recommend it because everyone's is different but it did not work for me. |

| Pros | Works after 1-2 days |
|---|---|
| Cons | Only works for about a week, then skin gets worse! Too drying and irritating, may swell your face, feels/looks like you have a sunburn! |
| Bottom line | TERRIBLE PRODUCT, DO NOT USE! I'm not allergic to the main ingredient in A.Free, and I've use this product years ago. It was fine back then, but recent changes to the product have seriously effected the quality. I recently began using it again to clear up my skin.It was ok for the first few days but stopped working and made my skin break out more. Tonight, after washing my face, it began to burn really bad as if I had a sunburn. When I looked in the mirror, I was HORRIFIED! My face was so red and irritated. I had to put a soothing gel on to get the burning to calm down. I'm very upset at this company and it's B.S. product. |

| Pros | The only treatment I have ever found for those large painful under-the-skin-never-come-to-a-head very-adult pimples. It also works to keep large pores clear. Use once a day, every day. I've been using for over a year now. Another benefit, no real smell. No fragrance/perfume is important to me. |
|---|---|
| Bottom line | Excellent for over 50 combination skin with large pores |
