I switched after cancelling my subscription to Proactiv. I could feel my face clearing up the next day, but I really wasn't happy about the gritty repair lotion compared to the Proactiv. It made my face lumpy! Other than that, it works GREAT! I suggest a good moisturizer afterwards.

AcneFree is GREAT! I had seen the Proactiv advertisements and was considering trying Proactiv when I saw AcneFree at Walmart. I purchased the AcneFree because it was compared to Proactiv. I'm so glad I did!! It cleared up my acne within the first 2 weeks. I used it for several months and then stopped using it. MISTAKE! I had a terrible breakout. I went out lastnight and bought more AcneFree!

I've tried ProActiv and AcneFree. I will admit that ProActiv was a little softer on the skin, but as far as getting rid of my acne both products worked exactly the same. I am currently using AcneFree and it cleared me up (whiteheads and small cysts) within a few weeks. Definitely use a moisturizer with this one. It drys out the skin quite a bit, but what can you expect from so my BP and a toner?

The toner is my favorite part of this system. I really like it because while the other two products are killing my acne, the toner is evening my skin and helping hide the zits I do have. I highly recommend this product based both on my success with it and it's great affordability.

I was never really prone to acne until recently where the problem area seemed to be my chin. I tried a plethora of drug store products such as the Clean and Clear products with 10% but nothing really worked. I tried Acne Free because it was cheap and compared to Proactiv. In the first two/three days I began to see results and looks like within the week my acne will be cleared up. After a few days, my skin became really dry, but that is only the really draw back. Highly reccommended.

I tried this product because it was the cheapest of the "acne kits" available at walmart and I have been desperate to clear my face for years. Everything I have ever tried, I have had poor results with. I have very sensitive skin so that is probably why.
My first complaint with this product is the face wash is too watery. Its very easy to spill or pour out too much into my hand. Due to this the package lasted me about 2 weeks. I still have lotion left, but the toner and wash are both exhausted.
It seemed to be helping at first, however my skin began to peel a lot. Not only my face but my hands as well from the frequent applications. After the first week my skin seemed a bit clearer, and I thought it might actually work. During week two my face pretty much exploded with new breakouts, and not only that but my face was cracking and peeling so bad I had to stop using the product.
Maybe this works for most people, but if you have sensitive skin, avoid this product. Its bad news.
After giving my face a week to heal from all the peeling, I have decided I am trying the Neutrogena stuff this week. One of these days I hope to find something that works for me.

I have been using Acne Free for just over one week. When I started, I was mid-breakout and this product almost immediately cleared up my skin. The cleanser leaves my skin feeling smooth and clean. The toner seems to tighten my pores. The repair lotion is a good product, as far as effectiveness. However, it is a bit gritty and initially caused dryness in my t-zone.

Pretty good product. While using it I never got big zits, and my face never got oily. When I stopped using it for a while, my face started getting big zits and getting oily. Highlt recommended.

Been using the product for about two weeks now and have been seeing great results. I'm 38 and never had acne until 4 years ago during and after the birth of my 3 yr old son. My worst breakouts occur during that time of month and within the last 5 months, my acne has accumulated and decided to stay for an ongoing party. This product has been working and after reading the ratings for Murad and Proactiv, I'm going to stay with this product. My skin is not drying, feels soft and the redness and swelling are decreasing and best of all, I haven't gotten any new breakouts as of yet. The price of the product is also great.

I am 32 and have had acne since my teens. I started using this product about a month ago and it works great. I have sensitive skin and it tends to dry out easily. I did experience dry patches. I then started using a moisturizer after step 3 to prevent any dryness. Works great!

AcneFree was a good product. But buyer beware they change their ingredients frequently. I have only been purchasing it since July and now it is December. The July product was by far better. Just in those months if you look at the back of the bottles the ingredients for the toner have changed twice and the cleanser also twice, the only thing that as remained is the lotion. Very disappointing. If you vist their website they have a clinical study that states t works better than ProActiv, what they don't tell you is that they have switched the ingredients since then.
