| Pros | Using it with the regimen, it has seriously made my skin so much smoother and softer. No more flakiness, even when I put BP on sensitive areas. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Makes my skin look a little shiny after a few hours. It's worth it! But read the regimen carefully -- this stuff stings if you use it too close to your eyes after putting on BP! |
| Bottom line | Love it. I have had a really difficult time finding a moisturizer I like that wasn't medicated. This is it! I hope it doesn't change for the worse. |

| Pros | goes on very smooth over BP good for stay at home days when spf is not required light texture mild-no smell moisturizing |
|---|---|
| Cons | a slight oily feel after an hour or so but I am used to it and dont mind it don't recommend this for oily skin |
| Bottom line | Great to use over BP. I really love how it goes on so smooth and your skin feels hydrated. I have been on the regimen for 2 years and just bought the cream, which is why I'm guessing it didn't cause any redness for me because my skin is already very used to the BP and this didn't exacerbate the 'raw' feeling you get when you first start treatment. I recommend this for dry, or normal-combo skin, but not oily. I will definitely continue using this at night. |

| Pros | -Very moisturizing. -Very cheap. $10.50 may seem expensive to some, but even the 8 oz. bottle contains a lot more moisturizer than you would expect. -Great ingredients -Not likely to break you out |
|---|---|
| Cons | -There is some shininess for me when I put it on. But I don't see how you would get all that moisture without at least a little bit of shine. -If you wanted to order JUST the moisturizer the shipping would bring the cost of this item up quite a bit. (When buying just the moisturizer, buying the bigger bottle only saves you about $1 because shipping is half for the smaller bottle. So don't be afraid to just buy the small bottle to make sure you like it first!) |
| Bottom line | I was skeptical to order this at first, because I didn't hear as many good reviews about it as I did about all of Dan's other products. I ordered everything else in the larger size, but this in the smaller size because I wasn't sure I'd like it. Now, a little over a month later I am ordering the large size already because I love it so much! I researched all the ingredients in this lotion, and they seemed to be much better than all the other lotions I compared it to! I used to use $40 lotion with my Retin-A. I tried so many different kinds, and this $40 crap ended up being the only stuff I liked, until I found this moisturizer and realized it's even better! It has a similar, thin consistency to that of the expensive lotion I was using. It just moisturizes a lot better. My skin has never felt this smooth and moisturized and flake-free while using Retin-A. And I have been on Retin-A for about 4 and a half years. I believe the only reason people say this "stings" is because of the benzoyl peroxide they are applying before using the moisturizer. Some people also say it caused redness. I did noticed this when I was using it in conjunction with BP, but after a while of just using this moisturizer at night, I was able to start using it in the day too because I stopped getting red. But honestly- I don't think this would turn you red at all unless you're using benzoyl peroxide. Even then- the redness was worth it! I know it sounds dumb. Like- if you're buying a skin care product it shouldn't make you freakin' red! But this is so moisturizing it really is worth it in the long run! Apparently Dan is working on tweaking this product right now. I hope it doesn't change TOO much because I love it just the way it is. :) Bottom line- give it a try. Especially if you are buying other acne.org products anyway. |

| Pros | smooth, lite texture, goes on pretty easy |
|---|---|
| Cons | Made my face very red, did not take away dryness or flakiness, even when I added Jojoba oil every nigh. Made my face look greasy and takes a very long time to rub into skin. |
| Bottom line | This moisturizer did not work for me. I used it with jojoba oil on the regimen for over a month and still had tons of flakes every day, they just would not go away. I recently switched to Cetaphil daily moisturizer and it is taking care of the dryness and flakes MUCH better!! I am no longer using jojoba oil either. Cetaphil does not make my face red or irritated either. |

| Pros | Moisturizes a little bit, no fragrance |
|---|---|
| Cons | Oily consistency, remains looking greasy all day, made my skin red in conjunction with the BP (red enough that people commented on it), no sunscreen |
| Bottom line | I'm not a big fan of the Acne.org moisturizer. I've found it very oily (even on its own without the added jojoba drops) - and even though it looked and felt oily I still had intolerable dryness and flakiness from the BP (I must have been super sensitive to the BP or something). It's not a totally bad moisturizer, but it's not the near-perfect one I was hoping for either. Now, the AHA+ is something else!! |

| Pros | hydrating, smooth, absorbs well, scentless, great texture |
|---|---|
| Cons | not soothing enough for me when used in conjunction with BP |
| Bottom line | i like using this moisturizer, and i'm using it daily while following the regimen. however, i have to add drops of other things into it for it to be soothing enough for the regimen. i tried jojoba oil and it was alright but too oily, and then i used burt's bees naturally ageless serum and it suited me pretty well and makes my skin feel much better. by itself, it's not a magic wand, but mixing and matching really brings it out. it's a great ingredient in your moisturizing step. it can be used alone, but it really shines and does its job properly when it's mixed with a bit of oil. it works well enough, but just not by itself. i recommend buying it, and if it's not soothing enough, there are plenty of great and inexpensive "addons" that you can get to really make it shine. note: maybe dan's new formula with licochalcone is even better. i used his aha+ and it works well. don't know if it's the licochalcone, but if part of it is, i think everyone should pay a little attention to how that product turns out. |

| Pros | VERY hydrating, doesn't break me out. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Stings like crazy, slippery on hands, hard to apply because of this. |
| Bottom line | I have been on the regiment for 9 days, and have had absolutely no flakiness because of this product (I was very surprised, I thought I'd just be a flakeball). I add about 5 drops of Jojoba oil at night only, because it makes my face super oily. I have pretty dry skin, but this moisturizer makes my skin oily for about an hour after use. Overall, a great product, but room for improvement. |

| Pros | Like the consistency, like the jojoba. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Really irritated my face... I read this would happen, I gave it a month and it continues to burn/ irritate my face so I quite using it. I constantly had to reapply throughout the day. |
| Bottom line | I love acne.org BP and AHA. I flat out don't like the moisturizer. I like the cetaphil lotion more because I think it serves better as a moisturizer, even though its thick as molasses. Oh well gave it a shot... |
