Pros: Intensely moisturizing. Does a very good job getting rid of flakiness, so you can go out with normal looking skin. Has a very soothing scent, and goes on smooth. Cons: When my skin was first adjusting to benzoyl peroxide, I found that my face would burn a bit and turn slightly red after applying the moisturizer. But after about 4 or 5 days, that stopped, and now it feels great when I put it on. Bottom Line: This is the best moisturizer I've ever had. It goes on very smoothly, so there is no need to rub it in, and it leaves no residue behind. No moisturizer I have ever used before moisturizes as well as this stuff does. Plus, it smells wonderful, and it doesn't make your face greasy or oily looking. In fact, after I starting washing with Dan's cleanser and moisturizing with this moisturizer, I find my skin to be less oily than it was before I went on the regimen. Pros: Prevents practically all flakiness (after week 3). Very light! Doesn't leave face oily. Smells so good! Cons: None so far Bottom Line: After switching from cetaphil to this moisturizer, I am sold. The cetaphil was slightly more moisturizing, but it made my face so greasy. This moisturizer gives my face a smooth, supple feel and the smell relaxes me. I think the negative reviews of "shininess" is about the moisturizer immediately after it is applied. Of course its shiny for like 3-5 minutes, but after it dries its not shiny and awesome! Recommended: Yes Usage: Diego Ricaurte has used this item for about a week. Pros: smells nice, goes on smooth, doesn't look oily after it dries Cons: makes me break out in blistery surface pimples. Makes my skin sting. I'm bummed that I'm one of those who gets "the reaction." Bottom Line: Try it, but if your skin had been well managed like mine, don't overlook any initial pimples. Quit immediately because it just gets worse. I stuck it out and am still battling the rashy pimples a week later. They hurt and take a long time to heal. Pros: Great moisturizer Cons: Makes your face shiny, no SPF Bottom Line: The rating for this product is lowered by all the people who had unusual reactions to it. I don't see how everyone's face is getting stung by this, seeing as how the top 3 ingredients are Water, Glycerin, and Jojoba oil. I'm baffled by these reviews since I find this to be such a soothing moisturizer, but I guess there's some ingredient in here which is causing reactions in people. For the people who aren't getting stung, which I'm sure is the majority, the consensus is that this is a great moisturizer. It's only downside is that it makes your face a bit shiny at first, but I don't see any way around that since it's got a lot of Jojoba oil in it, which is a good thing. Once it dries the shine goes away. It's a very lightweight moisturizer, meaning that it feels great and goes on like silk, but isn't going to do much if you have some serious dry spots on your face. Pros: Did help a little with the flakiness Cons: Stings, makes my skin oily and red Bottom Line: It's not breaking my out and if I use only a little it's ok so right now I'm using as a night moisturizer only but have just order the cerave lotion that everyone seems to be raving about and am hoping to have better results Recommended: Yes Usage: KRISTIN has used this item for about a month. Pros: Moisturises well, non comedogenic, in it's own right it's a very good moisturiser Cons: For me as part of the regimen, it was simply unusable Bottom Line: I was on the regimen for a week, and had the classic symptoms (dry skin, redness etc.) so didn't think anything of it. However by the 7th night when i was apply the moisturiser over the BP the 'stinginig' sensation was unbareable. I was still using 1/2 a bump of BP- but nonetheless, decided to take a break from the regimen for 3 days. After, i tried once again to start- to be met with just as bad a stinging sensation. It has caused me two nights of no sleep, which is two nights too many. However, i did use it as a moisturiser when taking the days off of the regimen and it was fine- no issues at all. Pros: It does moisturize my skin. Cons: It stings. Bottom Line: I don't like this moisturizer. It stings my skin. Pros: WOW in just 2 uses it completely cleared my red, flaky, dried skin, i was SHOCKED. Cons: APSOLUTELY NOTHING Bottom Line: This is the only lotion out of the 20 ive used that actually helped with my flaky and red skin! The other lotions are just scams, seriously, if your skin is super red and flaky, this product is PERFECTION. Recommended: Yes Usage: Brad has used this item for about a week. Pros: Moisturizes skin very well, spreads easily and absorbs fast. Cons: Made my face very oily and shiny. Bottom Line: I have been using all of Dan's products except for the moisturizer for almost 2 years now. I was using CeraVe moisturizing lotion and decided to try Dan's moisturizer since I was using the rest of his products. I do like how it spreads easily after my benzoyl peroxide has dried, but it made my face super oily even if I didn't put on so much. I also noticed that I got a few little pimples on my chin, and I don't break out anymore, so it must have been from this. Overall, this product is pretty great! I have to go back to CeraVe since it doesn't make me oily and greasy, but CeraVe is hard to spread and usually balls up with my BP. I'll probably give Dan's moisturizer again in a few weeks.
