Pros: Good lather. No parabens, SLS, dyes or fragrance. Big bottle. Cons: Irritating ingredients. Awful smell (not unscented, caused by the extracts). Drying. Caused more breakouts. Bottom Line: I was excited to try this, but as each day went on my skin got dried and more irritated. There are a few red-flag ingredients in this cleanser (propylene glycol, quaternium-15) which are probably causing me to break out. Another negative is the smell. It smells very much like a bitter lemon (this is because of the plant extracts). Overall, I can't recommend it. There are better cleansers out there like Spectro Jel (purple bottle) or Olay for Sensitive Skin. Recommended: No Usage: James has used this item for about a month. Pros: The affordability.The large size of the BP tube. I purchased the cleanser and one tube of BP, and WITH shipping it cost me less than if I were to buy Cetaphil cleanser and 118mL of BP here in Toronto. Cons: I'm a satisfied customer overall. Bottom Line: The cleanser does not overdry or irritate. The BP does not leave white streaks, which for me is amazing since the BP I used to use (Spectro) would leave toothpaste-like marks all over my face. I used to use Cetaphil cleanser in combination with Spectro BP (or whatever other BP was available at the local drug store) and my face felt a lot worse than it does with Dan's products. Pros: nive lather, good big size. laeve face clean and as soft a a babies bottom Cons: considering there is no fragrance. i think it smells a bit bad Bottom Line: i love this cleanser. its what ive been lookig for, doesnt dry you skin and leave it feeling tight after the wash. nice and soft feeling. also it didnt hurt my eyes at all.i think thsi cleanser goes great with the rest of dans stuff.. seriously great job mate. Pros: Great lather, economically sized bottle Cons: The lather dries up easily in your hands. Can be drying, so you need to do the steps immediately after washing with this stuff. Not readily available at your local store Bottom Line: Ladies, you only need one pump of this stuff and this will wash your face. It's simple, and instead of those exfoliants and scrubs that sell for 15+ at the malls, this cleans just as well. Pros: Does not overdry, comes off easily, and large bottle lasts a while. Cons: Wish it was boxed better with cushions. Bottom Line: I'm hooked on it. I use it 2-3 times a day (one pump), and in the shower (I have very oily skin). Does not do anything to clear the acne or scars, but I use it to clean oil/bacteria buildup on my face before I apply any medication like BP or egg yolk. Pros: Good price, unscented, gentle, doesn't leave any residue or sticky feeling, nice light lather, cleans really well. Cons: I like this slightly less well than Purpose cleanser because Purpose has a slight fragrance that I like, but otherwise it's just as good, and a ton cheaper! Bottom Line: I really like it; it's a great plain jane, gentle and effective cleanser that won't irritate or dry. Recommended: Yes Usage: Hannah has used this item for a few weeks. Pros: lathers super quickly and easily, pump design and extra cap are great, removes all the stuff on my face just fine, not drying or stripping, feels great on other parts of the body besides that face too Cons: scent takes a little getting used to (I like it now but didn't for the first week or so), not bad price-wise but isn't as economical as store brand cleansers Bottom Line: This is a great wash for both face and body. Sometimes when I feel like treating myself, I use it to shave my legs and armpits because it's moisturizing but not as thick as shaving cream. I absolutely love that Dan includes the pump dispenser as well as the normal shampoo-type cap, it's handy for traveling. I didn't fall in love with this face wash immediately, but I liked it from the start. It grew on me after using it for a couple of weeks, and now I actually look forward to washing my face with it each morning and night. I find the scent puzzling though not unpleasant, and definitely much more agreeable than the floral scent of other cleansers. One word of advice for those putting topicals on after cleansing with this is to be sure to let it air dry for a couple of minutes before proceeding, as it leaves behind an invisible, somewhat moisturizing residue that goes away once your face dries completely.
